Life is simple for Orube, all she has to do is:
1) Get her mother (Nerissa) to stop caring about getting the veil and being the Evil Queen of Meridian
2) To make Cedric realize that she didn't love him like she used too.
3) Fight off Phobos (with help from the guardians) and make sure that Cedric didn't go on his side again.

But here was the thing: If she broke up with Cedric, then he would join Phobos and Meridian would be in ruins again. It wasn't fair. The only positive thing was Caleb, a strong leader who protected Meridian. Sadly he loved Cornelia, a beautiful blond with the powers of Earth and was a noble guardian of the veil. But, she was also Orube's friend, which made it worse. Orube was startled when Cedric walked into the room. "Hi" he said, "What's wrong with you, aren't you happy?". "Should I be?" asked Orube, "After all, my mother is already up to her old stuff again, and I don't want to take her side on what stupid thing she's up too". It was true, her mother was so annoying, all she cared about was power and herself. "We can't stop her, she is too strong and I feel that you don't even care about me anymore." Cedric replied. "I do, I really do it's just that..." Orube started. Cedric cut her off "Really? Because I care about you, a lot. And apparently you don't". He was right, but to be honest, she loved him, but she had been so busy and she had been seeing Caleb more than him. "No, Caleb I do love you I...". She gasped. She had just said CALEB not Cedric. "YOU WHAT??" screamed Cedric. "No, I do I love you, it just came out wrong, I...". Orube started to have tears streaming down her face. "When I find that Caleb, I'll.." he started. "No please don't, please..." As Cedric ran out the door for Caleb, Orube felt like her heart was shattered to pieces.
