Chapter 1: The Cruxifiction of Mary

As Jesus took his last breath and pronounce his last words: "It is finished", Mary cried in the shoulders of Mary Magdalene. To suffer the most terrible thing, the death of a son… Suddenly, Mary became controlled by a dark unfamiliar feeling. Her heart was so wounded she couldn't fight it. The pain in her chest had deepened into a hole where that feeling, that dark twisted feeling, was beginning to find its place. That feeling, of being wronged, of being abandoned by a God, was so powerful that she couldn't think of anything else but…

"I will take vengeance on the God that killed my son" and as she said this words aloud, Mary Magdalene broke their embrace and looked her in the eyes. Was she serious?, she thought. "Mary… what do you mean?" she demanded. But Mary left her without any more words. Her anger had consumed her soul and the repercussions were soon to be known.

Mary walked fast to her home and her mind was clouded by violent thoughts. Its like she couldn't see it any other way. Her dear and only son, left to die, by its very own father. She was determined it was her only option. Avenge him… Avenge him… voices in her head repeated it. But, how? What can I do against the Al-Mighty? Suddenly this thought caused her to cry in pain…. But what can I do? He is powerful, he knows my thoughts, he is omniscient! I am doomed! She fell to the ground weeping inconsolably, but a sound, a rooster crook, reminded her of something. Judas, she thought. He might know. He might help me.

Mary abandoned her way and headed towards Judas home. But as she approached she saw something odd in a tree near the house. A man. A man was hanging from the tree. It was Judas, dead. Oh no. Did he do this? Mary approached the body and her feelings worsen. Her only plan had come with an unexpected twist. She felt desperate but calmed herself and saw the silver coins lying in the ground. The mark of treachery, she thought and took them. There must be a way I can contact the Evil One. And with this thought she began to shake the coins, hoping for a way to establish contact.

"Evil One, Evil One, I know you hear me. Come for me I have a proposition." She shouted at the earth, at the heavens but it seemed like no one responded.

"Mary, stop!" A familiar voice commanded. She knew it well, that voice had been close to her all these last years. Mary Magdalene ran towards her and attempted to grab her.

"I am sorry Mary Magdalene, I must do this for my son" and Mary resisted.

"Please Mary, I am pregnant, you are going to be a grandmother. Please stay with me and help me raise your grandson." Mary Magdalene pleaded. Her face was swollen from all the crying.

Even though the news of her grandchild lighted a very little fire in Mary's heart, her soul was much consumed by a profound despair.

"I can't Magdalene… a mother should not outlive her son". And with those last words, the ground began to shake and pulled Mary's body, burying her deep. The Evil One had responded to her cries and it was taking her with him. Mary Magdalene screamed horrified by what was happening. Mary's breath have became shorter, she felt frightened but determined. There was no way out of it now…
