"I believe we have ourselves a winner," said Zero.

Cryo Squad was sitting in its dormitory suite, poring over flimsiplast prints of Katarn armor hastily computer-colored. They were lucky to be one of the few squads chosen to test the individual paint scheme. They had instead opted to adopt a unified scheme for the squad. So, for the past three hours, the commandos had sat at their terminals, coming up with color schemes.

Oath tended to geometric patterns in camouflage colors. Two-two submitted only one scheme, with a single broad red stripe running down the armor's left side. Zero himself had put in two designs, one with black trim and another in purple. Icer put in four, and one caught the attention of his squadmates immediately. It featured a lot of dark gray, set off with a vivid blue, far more striking than any of the other designs.

A quick show of hands had voted the design in.

"Let's show it to the Sarge."

Deuce volunteered to look for Sergeant Bralor. Zero and the others sat quietly. Since they did almost everything together, there wasn't much to talk about besides encounters with some of their more…eccentric brothers.

A week later, the results stood at attention for Sergeant Bralor's approval, and that of The Source. Besides the squads from Bralor's battalion, a few from Walon Vau's and Kal Skirata's were present. The chamber was a myriad of colors, an almost disorienting experience on clean, white Kamino. The training sergeants and Jango walked through quickly, nodding at a few of the more distinctive designs, including Cryo's. Then they were gone, and the commandos were free to go back to whatever they were doing.

On the way back, Twenty gave Zero a nudge. "Take a look at Delta Six-Two." He did: the barve had stolen their paint scheme! He'd made some minor changes – the faceplate was white, it was yellow instead of blue – but it was still recognizably Icer's original design.

RC-1200 shrugged. "We'll talk him out of it later."
