Ookami Hitokage: This is the oneshot in Ammy's POV. AmaXIssun. Obviously I didn't continue to the end of the fighting scene; just a very small fragment. A drabble, I suppose. ALSO: I am not plagiarizing Fatal Casualty. I AM Fatal Casualty.
Disclaimer!
Ookami Hitokage: I don't own Okami. D:
I Miss You
A snarl rose from the wolf's muzzle as she landed a few feet away from Yami, who had fallen on to his side after a heated battle. Swallowing, Amaterasu relaxed, breathing deeply.
Issun was gone. That was the worst part in it all. Or, one of the worst parts. When the Poncle hadn't been able to come with Waka and Ammy to the Ark – the sun goddess had cried, inwardly. When Issun had said that he had just come along with her to steal the techniques, even though knew it was true, she had denied it. And now he was gone; he was not even here to ask her to howl.
Suddenly, a familiar voice said, "Heh heh. Not bad, furball!" The red-and-white wolf blinked, her gaze flickering to her muzzle. On the tip of her nose – there was Issun! He grinned. "Well, what are you waiting for? Let's hear one of your famous howls!"
Inwardly, Amaterasu let out a yip of joy. She lowered her head, then stepped forward and raised it again, mouth open, drawing in breath for a howl. Just as she was about to do so, however, she stopped. Something wasn't right. Issun had been unable to get to the Ark. As if in cue to her thoughts, the little Poncle on her nose vanished.
Amaterasu nearly faltered, but stubbornly let loose a forlorn howl – which was cruelly cut short when suddenly Yami grasped her in one of his arms. He shook her, spinning her in the air.
I miss you, Issun…
Suddenly, she was thrown. The wolf let out a yelp, falling in an arc and landing on her stomach a few feet away. Her reflector and her markings – vanished.
…and I love you.
She had no strength to get up.
