Disclaimer: I in no way own Sherlock, the creation is completely Sir Arthur Conan Doyle; the creation I am writing about is the adapted modern version. So as you can see this is my take on it and as I said before I in no way own Sherlock.

Notes: I decided to write this after I watched 'The Reichenbach Fall' for the third -or was it fourth. Time-. I just felt that there was so much emotion in this scene that was conveyed wonderfully; although I shall warn you straight away that if, you have not seen 'The Reichenbach Fall' you should look away now, as there are spoilers. I repeat SPOILERS. After all, I do not wish to ruin someone's enjoyment on watching the programme for the first time.

Remember the two R's: Read and Review.

It seemed as though the minute that bullet went through Moriarty's head thick grey clouds penetrated the sky, they were heavy with rain they were about to break at any moment. Innocent shoppers below walked with their Tesco bags, the only thing they were worrying about was if they would make it home before the plastic bag handle burst. And to think if them, those innocent shoppers, were to look up at that moment their life would change, but they didn't. However, there was one person looking up at the top of St Bartholomew's hospital. His eyes strained looking at a tall figure, its coat billowing in the wind.

John Watson is proud to say that he is a strong man, but now at this very moment he felt as though he would break down and start to weep, as he watched his best friend, the first man that had ever meant something to him. Sherlock Holmes had helped John out of his darkest time; he excited his life he made it better. " … Leave a note when?" John said only catching on to what Sherlock was saying. Then that is when it happened a simple word that would change John forever one that he did not want to hear coming out of Sherlock's mouth especially at a time like this.

"Goodbye"

Down below Sherlock could hear John screaming his name; he threw his phone down by his side. It's not as if he would need it. Sherlock was a man of very little emotion; he tried not to show it because in the end it usually ended up hurting other people. He wished that he could retrieve the phone again, call John, and let him know how much he honestly meant to him. Before he and John had starting living together Sherlock was lost, he did not know what he was doing if it were not for Lestrade giving him the odd case he would have lost his mind. Most people looked at Sherlock and thought of him as odd, no not odd abnormal. But John didn't he looked at Sherlock and just saw a person who knew a lot he didn't judge him for having dismembered parts of the human body in their fridge or for asking him to take part in his experiments. Sherlock felt as though John was the only person he could trust, not even Mycroft.

It deeply hurt Sherlock to know that he would have to leave John, maybe not forever for just for a while. He could only imagine what would happen to John after he would 'depart' from the world. It was surprising would your mind thought up in only a couple of seconds, here we go thought Sherlock as he closed his eyes and took the plunge his legs and arms waving about madly like a fish out of water. The last thing that came into his mind before he hit the ground was 'Goodbye John'.
