The fading evening light pouring in from Dan and Phil's lounge windows accompanied by the soft murmurs of dialogue from some random show on TV is what woke up Phil. It was one of those situations where you wake up because of nothing, like your body is so tired or being idle it literally forces you awake. Phil liked being where he was though, the faint snores coming from Dan as he was snuggling up to him on their couch and the dimming light made for a very pretty picture from Phil's perspective.

Phil stared down at his boyfriend for a while. Dan was laying on his stomach, half laying on Phil (who was laying on his back) and half lying on the actual couch. Their legs were tangled together and Phil had his hands wrapped loosely around Dan's midsection.

Without thought, Phil reached a hand up to stroke Dan's hair. He was so beautiful. His skin glowing in the dim room and his cheeks slightly flushed pink. Phil thought Dan was the definition of perfection. How in the world Phil got so lucky was beyond him.

The brunette stirred a little and opened his eyes with a tired sigh. He looked up at Phil, who was still petting Dan's hair, and smiled softly.

"Sorry, did I wake you?" Phil whispered lovingly.

"Yeah but that's okay," Dan murmured back as he rested his head back onto Phil's chest. Dan noted how dark it was getting in the lounge and decided to check the time on his phone, "Phil we cuddled literally all day! It's 8:20."

Phil just squeezed Dan, "Day well spent for me," and kissed his boyfriend's forehead softly.

Dan hummed happily and, after a while, lazily pushed up from the couch to sit on the edge. This earned him a slightly annoyed groan from Phil and a tightened grip on his waist to try and pull him back down.

"Phiiiil, we can't just sleep on the couch after we've already spent the whole day snuggling on it. I think we've permanently pancaked the cushions with our weight."

"So? It's not like this hasn't happened before."

Dan leaned down and kissed Phil. He tried to sit back up but Phil only pulled him back in for more. After a while of slow, lazy kisses, Phil broke away and stood up from the couch.

"Okay you're right," he said, "if I don't move now, I may become one with our couch."

"Just slip off to couch-land, would you?" Dan asked amused.

"It's like Wonderland but with more couches," Phil answered back without missing a beat.

"Shut-up," Dan giggled as he stood up and wrapped his arms around Phil's neck, quickly kissing him before moving his hands down to intertwine their fingers together.

Phil gently tugged Dan towards their room and flopped on the bed as soon as he got there. Dan quickly following suit.

The cool bedding against their skin felt nice but their wrinkly and 24-hour-worn pajamas did not. Phil put on new pajama bottoms but Dan didn't care as much so he just took his off, leaving him in his boxers.

They settled in under the covers but both were far from tired. Instead of sleeping they just talked quietly for hours about anything and everything until finally starting to feel tired. It was somewhere around 4 am when Phil dozed off right in the middle of a sentence and Dan had to nudge him awake. Phil opened his eyes dreamily and pulled Dan closer to him.

"Morning," Phil said.

"You fell asleep whilst trying to say something," Dan chuckled.

"Did I? Oops... Well, I can't remember it now."

Dan tilted his head up and kissed Phil for only the hundredth time that night. Phil smiled into the kiss nonetheless and pulled Dan as close as humanly possible.

"It was a good day," Phil whispered as he broke away from the kiss.

"Phil, we literally just cuddled and napped on the couch all day."

"Exactly; good day." They kissed one last time before falling asleep in each other's arms.
