After a few more months, he began to look for chances to place bets outside of Geoff's games. That's when he discovered the local casino. He would stay out for hours on end in front of one of the slot machines hoping to win money.

But when he played on the machines he never won money. So much of his paycheck went to gambling that he couldn't pay any of the bills and his wife ended up paying.
