He sat on the edge of the bed, head in hands as his silvery hair fell around his face.

The daylight streamed gently in from a crack in the blinds. I can hear his heavy exhales through the nose as he tried to think.

I sat up in our shared bed, the silky sheets falling off of my shoulders, and I slowly crept towards him, ending up sitting beside him, swinging my legs off the bed. His religious necklace hung lowly on his neck.

Tears slipped through the gaps in the fingers that were pressed against his lavender eyes. I reached out and pulled him close.

He wrapped his pale, strong arms around my waist immediately, his forehead in the middle of my collarbone as he wept.

I had never seen him cry before. And with every tear that dripped onto my breasts, his hold on me tightened, and my guilt increased.

"I love you, Hidan." I whispered, my voice quiet.

He buried his head into my chest, sobs unfaltering.

"You know I love you more than life itself..!" He ground out bitterly.

Tears cascaded down my cheeks, without my realising.

"Please don't leave me.." He choked, and my heart twisted in my chest.

"I'll never leave you, Hidan," I said softly, my fingers in his hair.

"I promise."
