It was a rainy day at Cross Academy, And of course, I hated it…I love the smell of the rain, but I hate how everything has to be muggy after the rain settles. That means having to be careful to not slip while patrolling the academies grounds.
I slipped my boots on and was about to leave when Zero, hunter/Level D vampire, came storming passed me yelling something out at my Step-Father, Chairman.
"I told you that will never happen!" Zero yelled. Well… he looked pissed. He glanced at me. " We need to talk, Yuki." He added. He grabbed my arm and pulled me out in the icy cold rain. I gasps as the freezing drops of rain pelted my uncovered skin.
"Where are we going, Zero?" I asked. Without talking further I saw we were heading to the horse stables. The damn thing was like a shelter to Zero when it came to him abandoning me for patrolling the Night Class gates. "oh.." I sighed out. He always brought me here to talk about something important.
When we got there I was shivering, and fucking freezing to death. I sat on the sweet smelling hay besides Zero. "Well? What is it now, Zero?" I asked. I looked at his face, he was mostly was calmed down.
" Yuki…Can you keep a promise?" His voice was in a whisper almost. I was taken a bit back by his question. What? Why did he just ask me that? I thought.
"Uh… Of course Zero! You know me! I would keep anything…." I said. Of course I would keep a promise, But what is he wanting me to promise?
"Then, Promise me you will never let Kuran take your blood." I knew who he was talking about.
"Kaname-sempai? Actually I kind of CAN make that promise. I don't want him taking my blood. Last time I said yes that was only because I was scared. Why are you asking me?" I was shocked.
Zero took my shoulders in both hands and leaned forward. We were 1 inch from….well…kissing. I blushed. "Zero" I was cut off by his velvet voice.
"Do you promise?" my eyes grew big my the words. "Yes.." I said. …. Then I gasps as he leaned forward that 1 inch and…..our lips touched.
