A/N: I realized that I have not written a single Phantom of the Opera on this account, which is kind of fail for me. So, why not use the 100 themes challenge as an excuse?

I want to know about him.
I want to know about the mysterious man who was there, yet wasn't. Who killed, who sang, who hated, who loved. He kidnapped my best friend, he wrote the most amazing opera I have ever heard, and he vanished.
I want to know about the Phantom of the opera.
I have been in his lair, trying to find Christine and yet I only found his mask, no other trace of him other than the broken mirrors.
Christine left with Raoul to begin a happy life together, free from the mysteries and madness of the Opera Populaire. I was left behind, as the Phantom slowly drifted from the minds of the people and I studied ballet and practiced my singingā¦
And on more than one occasions saw shadows darting, heard noises that were not natural in an empty room. But this was just my imagination, wasn't it?
It had to have been, but yet I found myself at Christine's door, ready to ask a few questions about the man behind the mirror.
A/N: Yes, I went there. This actually seems a lot like a prologue to a story idea I had once beforeā¦perhaps I may write this story one day.
