"A daughter?" Hardison finally managed. "You. Have. A kid?"

"Yes, Hardison. Is that so hard to believe?" Sophie raised a perfectly manicured eyebrow at the hacker.

He looked around the table. "I'm thinking all of us are having trouble with that one. 'Cept maybe Nate."

"Not even Nate knows everything, Hardison." Sophie glanced around the table at the shocked faces of her colleagues. "It's not like I raised her. A friend and his partner wanted a child and I was able to provide one. I owed him...and for a lawyer, he's okay. I'm hands off; I see her every year on her birthday and send her a gift for Hanukkah. That's about it."

"You had sex with a gay man?" Parker frowned. "I thought they weren't allowed to do that."

"There are other ways, Parker."

"Like a turkey baster?"

"Parker!" Sophie sighed. This was another reason she only saw her daughter a few times a year. She hated these kinds of questions.

"When do you leave?" Elliot interceded.

"In a couple of days. I want to get there in time for her competition. Her school has made it to Regionals. She sings."

"What's her name?" Nate finally managed.

"Rachel. Rachel Berry."
