Disclaimer: firstly, Eragon is not mine, nothing in it belongs to me, and secondly, I do own the poem

Summery: I did not write this for Eragon, though I guess you could pin it on Saphira I suppose..anyways.. enjoy, and let me know if you can think of anything else it could apply to

Ice-Fire

Sapphire blue, yet cold and harsh,

Deep piercing orbs of icy flames,

Frozen by the endless years,

Yet in them still a spark remains.

Glowing pools of Ice-Fire,

Burning fiercely, deep within,

Smothered by cold darkness,

Trying to be free once again.

Unconquerable, yet a slave to time,

Unwilling to live, but unable to die,

Eternal suffering, everlasting pain,

Too cold to care, too frozen to cry.

Treacherous beauty, the flames of ice,

Able to destroy without a thought,

Woe unto you, ignorant fools,

For the strife and terror you unknowingly wrought.

No feeling, no emotion,

Only a blank, cold, gaze of blue,

Void of all but icy flames,

Void of all they once knew.
