A/N: Hey readers! I finally have a full-length actual story idea for Xiaolin Showdown... YAY! I have been struck by inspiration! This is the prelude of it... I'm very proud of this idea... PLZ no flames... even if you were really waiting for an update to one of my other stories... I'M WORKING ON IT, OKAY?

All I can think about is to run... if the wolves caught me... who knows what would happen... I keep tripping over my dress, crying out for help in this lonely, cold, blank, ENDLESS desert. Fallen off the wagon, can't find any shelter, tired, ragged-looking, cold, and hungry... I need a place to stop for the night...

I see, as if by a miracle, a shimmering oil lantern light in the distance. "Thank GOD! A town!" I cry out. I run for the light, but what I see confuses me to no end...

A hotel... Nothing more, nothing less... but, somewhere to stay is somewhere to stay... I knocked on the door, shouting a wordless cry... almost immediately, a butler answered...

"Yes? How can I help you?"

"I... I'm lost... I need a... a place to stay, sir... if you have a room..." I respond, out of breath...

"We always have plenty of room here," he said. " Especially for paying customers. We don't get many..."

"I'm terribly sorry, sir, but I'm only a lost traveler... I'm afraid I'm short on money..."

" Oh, that is no problem. You can work off your debt." He seems nice enough... this won't be so bad... "Miss, I seem to be forgetful. What year is it?"

"1850," I responded.

"Thank you, your name?"

" Nylah. Nylah Thornburr."

" Your signature? For the guest list?"

I sign, what harm could it do?

" Miss, Nylah. Welcome to the Hotel California."

If I had looked back in my excitement I would've seen their slogan. ' You'll never want to leave, and you never will.'
