DON'T KILL ME! DX It's very horrible, I knoes. But I had an FF account just sitting there decaying so I decided to use it. First Fanfic No Creativity-ness.
When she was in her childhood, she dreamt of a prince sweeping her away from all her troubles.
"Nagi, I love you. I'll rescue you and then we'll be happy forever!" Nagi dreamt that. Not Chrome. Nagi learnt that no prince was coming for her, especially her being a girl that her mother didn't want; nobody wanted. Because Nagi was so useless; so pitiful.
When she was almost a teenager, she dreamt of dying alone, where no one would come to her funeral.
Nagi dreamt that. Of course. Chrome had a purpose, a life, and a family. Nevertheless a family full of cow people, baseball swordsmen, teenage delinquents, people who yell 'EXTREME!', kamikorosu-ing bloodthirsty prefects, kufufu-ing pineapple loving people (which conveniently and oddly was her master), and Boss. Boss, she adored. Not in the Gokudera Hayato way which involved screaming 'Jyudaime in sometimes the most random times to show affection, pride and all that stuff, but it the quiet Dokuro Chrome 'arigato Bossu' way.
When Chrome was a teenager, she dreamt of being needed.
Chrome Dokuro is a member of the mafia famiglia Vongola. She is the mist guardian and she very well is also a weakling but Chrome is not as much a fantasy fan as Nagi.. Chrome wanted to help Boss; Nagi wanted to prove herself to Mother. The latter would be impossible, Mother being, well Mother.
Chrome at least tries to prove herself to be useful, so Cloudman would not look down on her as much. Some improvement would be better. At least he didn't beat her up to get to her master just like everyone expected him to. Just because she is his vessel does not mean he would care the world for her. She is just a vessel. Both of them know that. She accepts it, and continues on with life.
When Chrome Dokuro was a mature adult, she did not bother dreaming about needed. She dreamt of survival.
Chrome Dokuro is a mafia member. Already strong, already needed. She already expected to die once. She won't do it again. She can't expect to be safe everyday either. Vongola is strong, but it is essentially one body. If one part fails, the whole body can fall apart. It just so happens to be that she is a main organ, metaphorically speaking. If she dies, then Vongola will most definitely be missing a major part. However, that can only be fitting. There is Mukuro. What was once her master, is now merely her equal. A person that she can respect, but not adore like Boss. Would he take her place as the mist guardian. She feels sick thinking about it.
When Chrome Dokuro was engaged, she only thought it was a dream. Especially to who it was.
If you people are thinking about Boss, wrong. She loves him, but not in that way. She makes her feel like a person, and an actual person unlike Mukuro. Mukuro merely revived it and filled it with falsehood. Mukuro, is an equal. A half, if you may. She also does not love him that way. Yes, occasionally they share a room, a bed, but they do not touch each other, only when she needs comfort. The other guardians did not terrify her unlike those mere 10 years ago, when she was just a social neophyte. A newborn, terrified, so fragile, so prone to death.
Ah, Cloud man. She occasionally calls him that just to tease him. Really, it still pisses him off. But he doesn't bite her to death, very much to her glee. So she does it half the time. And the only thing he asks for is… dun dun dun… is it something romantic? Something violent? Something… sensual? Nope! He asks that she works at the foundation for a week each time she says it. So that's... 26 weeks at the Foundation. He enjoys it very much. Oh and the engagement, I'll just say that 'Kamikorosu' is used frequently.
