You had always hid your heart.
Many tried to reach it, but couldn't.
With a single smile, you could tell.
She was different.
"'Oh no, whatever shall I do?' Isn't that what you want me to say?"
Day by day, she chipped at the fortress blocking your heart.
The way she did it seemed so effortless.
You liked this feeling.
The remains of your wall fell when she left.
"Aerith is gone. Aerith will no longer talk, no longer laugh, cry... or get angry..."
And just like that, she slowly sank down out of your view and this life.
As you looked on, you could feel your barrier coming back.
And you remember why you had one in the first place.
