Hermione Granger sighed as she sat back on her couch. She was completely exhausted, but couldn't go to bed yet. She still had some work to do before that could happen. She really should quit pushing herself so hard, but she knew that she wouldn't. She enjoyed everything that she did and wouldn't change any of it for any reason.
She had always had to be the best of everything that she did and this was no different. She would succeed no matter what anyone else thought or did because she couldn't and wouldn't take failure as an option. She wouldn't fail because she had to make everyone see that she could get by on her own work and her own name and that she didn't have to use Harry's name to get anywhere in life.
She refused to even consider the idea of using Harry's name unlike her so called ex best friend who had been doing just that. She shook her head to clear it and then pulled out the work she had brought home with her so that she could get ahead. She wasn't sure how much time had passed when she finally finished the stack of paperwork she had brought home with her, but she knew that she needed to eat and sleep so that she would be able to function the next day.
She swore when she looked at the time as she stood up. She quickly ate an apple and then headed to bed. As soon as her head hit the pillow she was out like a light which was a good thing because she had overworked herself once again.
