Dear Readers,

It's been a while.

I know that, for a very long time, I have been inactive in the FanFiction community; especially the South of Nowhere and Skins ones. I disappeared, stopped uploading and updating my stories and I mostly wanted to apologise for that. Often I'll get messages or emails asking for me to pick up where I left off, to finish what I started and I ignored them for the most part. Writing FanFiction while I was younger was an easy escape, it gave me both something to do and a place to hide away when things were tough for me.

Truthfully I have kept writing and I logged back on here to see if could bring back some memories and I can honestly say that I did.

South of Nowhere really was my starting point; being able to mold these characters, to write differing personalities and get to grips with dynamics of friendship and love really helped me. Of course, reading back on "Written in my Sins" makes me wonder how I ever managed to pass English class (!) but I am glad for it. That was the first piece of work I was truly dedicated to, that I'd meticulously plan and work out. I've looked back over the reviews and I'd be a liar if I said they didn't make me smile and I wanted to thank everyone who replied to me or helped me or encouraged me along the way.

Letting go of these stories was hard for me but I wrote them when I was at a very bad place in my life and, now, I'm luckily out of that and living a more healthy life with friends, my own love and a career beyond anything I could have imagined for my fifteen year old self who had once settled behind a computer and began writing stories about fictional characters.

It's hard to believe it's been ten years since I started writing seriously, even more strange to believe that I kept it up, but I honestly wanted to say thank you to everyone who read, reviewed and enjoyed my stories from all those years ago. You kept a young girl going, you made her want to grow and develop and learn.

Hopefully, one day, I'll come back.

- Kelly.
