The two infected headed down the street of the abandoned city. The hunter, though a little annoyed they were now deep in the abandoned city and he still didn't know where they were going, he mostly found the smoker's enthusiasm to lead him somewhere to be pretty cute.
It took the two of them about three hours of walking but finally they found a rather abandoned looking Home Depot, though still with some things in it. Hank gave Danny a confused look.
"Well, remember when we found your file at that lab?" Danny began, waiting for Hank to nod before he continued. "And it said how you used to be a construction worker-And I saw the way you were looking at that broken forklift!" it was true, whereas Hank didn't really have much memory of before the infection and certainly didn't even remember how most of these things even worked, he did find he Really liked machinery or tools.
Hank grinned and reached up to ruffle Danny's hair, he really did love how much he paid attention to details. The two infected went in through a broken window and started looking around.
At first, Hank just idly picked up some things to look at them but after a while he started to really get interested, trying to start some of the tools up, and more than once accidentally causing a lawnmower to chase them around.
After they shut the lawnmowers down, Hank started piling things up, stuff that he wanted to bring back to mess around with and see if he could remember anything about them other than the fact he really liked them.
"Wait, how're we gunna get all this back?" Hank stated while moving a few power drills to the pile.
"You know how to hot-wire cars, just… Please not full speed this time?"
Hank grinned and nodded, this was also part of this little trip out since the last time Hank stole a car, and was having a lot of fun going full speed, Danny nearly wet himself thinking they were going to die, and had told Hank he wasn't allowed to drive anything anymore. "Deal. I'll keep it to only 80"
Danny sighed and gave his boyfriend a hug, "fine" he paused a bit then nuzzled the hunter, who nuzzled back, making a slight purr sound. "Happy 26th birthday, Hank."
