'Let me talk to him' Sam thought, just as Colonel O'neill was leaving and as she was thinking it, Jolinar did.

Jack was about to go and leave when he heard Sam say "to him" and he somehow managed to turn just in time to see her eyes flash, as Sam was granted control. 'Now talk' she heard her say, as Jolinar demanded.

She was about to take a deep, steadying breathe when she heard Jack say "Carter? Is that you?" He asked it questioningly, as if unsure of himself or her response and so was therefore very much relieved when he heard her say "Holy Hannah, she really IS letting me speak!" Jolinar meanwhile was rolling her eyes metaphorically in exasperation at her surprise 'Of course you are, I'm letting you aren't I, now talk!' she told her 'BEFORE I change my mind', she added before huffing in exasperation.

"Colonel, Jack…" she added hesitantly, "please don't be alarmed sir, it really is me. I'm so sorry for what happened in the gate room. I never meant for it to happen and it won't happen again Sir, I just couldn't stop it or control her…she continued, before adding a final "Sir".

Jack sighed in relief, realizing her guilt shortly afterwards and he looked up at her sorrow filled eyes, before realizing that this wasn't a trick. At and with that, he stepped forward up to the metal bars and said "It wasn't your fault, now we're going to get that thing out of you."

Sam just shook her head in response, Jolinar went "HEY, I am still settling you know" and Sam ignored her, looking up sadly at Colonel O'neill, before saying "It's too late Sir; you can't besides there's some one who wants to kill Jolinar- a Goa'uld! It's too late, you're too late." She turned, walking away from him in defeat, when Jack said something that did surprise her "WE won't let anything bad happens to you" and Sam turned to look at him "But sir..." she cried in alarm

And he added: "I won't let anything bad happens to you". He just looked seriously at her, as he said it.

"But Sir, Jack…?" she asked in confusion, "Just get her out of you Sam, fight it" he told her, before leaving the room, turning sadly back to see Jolinar take back control of her again and he sighed.

"How was she?" the others asked him when he got back "NOT good" was his only reply.
