Chapter One: Of Races at Sunset
Pinks and oranges slowly melted into the horizon as two children ran across the riverside.
The boy was tired, panting heavily. He looked like he was going to faint any second soon. There was a girl beside him. And although he looked as if he was going to pass out, the girl looked as if she could run a million more miles.
Suddenly, the boy stopped, holding his knees and breathing in short breaths. He could barely speak, but his words came out in a small string of bursts "Eli-za... Slow...Down." promptly after that, he fell to the grass.
Eliza, who was ran a bit far as the boy stopped, didn't hear him. She laughed and said, "C'mon slowpoke! I'm gonna win if you don't catch up soon!" She kept running and running until she reached this certain tree. "Aha-" She said, obviously pleased at her win "I win, I win! In your face, Gilbert!"
However, when she heard no response from Gilbert, she became worried. "G-Gil? Where are you?" her head snapped around quickly, searching for the place her friend could be. Suddenly, Elizaveta jumped to the sound of a twig snapping.
She nervously turned her head to the source of the sound.
And guess what?
There stood Gilbert Beilschmidt, face pink and sweaty. "I.. I told ya' to slow down!" Gilbert said, then groaned. "I'm sooooo~ tired." And once again, he fell to the ground, but this time, on purpose.
Then Gilbert sat up and stretched his knees. He waved a hand at the standing Elizaveta "C'mere Amazon! you hafta see the sunset!"
Eli blushed a a color to match the rosy sky, but complied and embraced her knees as she sat. "Ya' know, Gil.." She started "I've seen the sunset a ton of times!"
The seven-year-old albino pouted and said "It'll be different this time!" Elizaveta raised an eyebrow.
"How do you know?"
"I just do!"
"Mmhm. Suuuuure."
Okay, that was my take on a non-nation AU. Review and tell me what I need to work on! Thanks~
