Disclaimer: I don't own Mortal Kombat
I know this is quite late but I've been busy, sorry.
Sonya couldn't help herself as she walked in the house, her keys thrown aside without care as she kicked off her shoes. Stepping over the rug that lead to the living room, taking a quick glance at the clock to see that it was still early. The blonde fighter's hair fell down her back freely as she pulled loose her hair tie with her available hand, the other cradling her ten week old daughter.
Her daughter's still droopy blue eyes looking up at her with an innocence that she was fascinated by. It was only at those moments that she realized how dark the world was. That the only real light of innocence she could find was in the form of her small child that lay in her arms, yawning as she shut the front door behind her. Twisting the lock before tossing her empty water bottle into the garbage can; the grunts of her daughter wanting down getting her attention.
The small child patting parts of her arm and shoulder, looking back at her mother with a smile. Sonya pressed her lips to the baby's forehead. Thanking the Elder God's that she was able to have a family of her own, something she'd desired for quite a long time.
"Come on Lila," Her voice was cheerful, something that never seemed to happen before her daughter was born. It was another she wished to savor, the true happiness that she felt when home with her family. A smile on her face as she made her way to the bedroom, still holding Lila close until she was beside the bed where her tired husband lay. He's been up most of the night with Lila while Sonya took it easy, something he'd been doing the past two nights before finally letting himself crash on the bed. He was in the same place he'd been before she took her morning walk. The woman couldn't wipe the smirk from her face as the little girl struggled more to get down, finally getting her wish when the fighter sat her in the middle of the bed.
The baby moved to touch her dad and grunted as she moved to the side, the minute her soft skin touched her father's skin, he rolled over. His strong arms embracing her as she fell against his chest, his warmth covering her like a blanket as she squealed in excitement. Johnny's blue eyes opening a crack to look down at her and across the bed at Sonya. She laid down on her side to get a better look at Lila; her smile was one of happiness and pure love as the actor reached across to cup her cheek in his hand. Their daughter still snug against him as he pushed his hand through his wife's silky hair, it fell from his fingers as he wished for a camera to photograph her beauty.
She leaned forward slowly, her long hair spilling over her shoulders, as she kissed him with everything she had. Wishing to put every ounce of gratefulness and love she had in her into that kiss; Sonya guessed that it was showing as she felt the same thing from Johnny's kiss. Both were passionate and loving, while also thankful for everything they had. The hesitance was not hidden as they pulled away from each other, the small baby on the bed was placed between them. Both parents holding her like she were their lifeline as she fell asleep.
Johnny stared at the small child, unaware of Sonya's actions until she placed a gentle kiss to his hand. Rubbing it with her fingers.
"Happy Father's day, John."
What did you think? Again, I'm sorry this is so late, but life can be a real hassle. Haha
