He'll keep going, keep carrying his brother, even though hope is all but gone.

Sometimes all it takes is a small, quite mundane, insignificant thing to trigger immeasurable change. Fading hopes can be re-ignited, heavy burdens become somehow more bearable. Bone numbing weariness can cease threatening to drag you down. One small thing can stop the damp ground from looking so inviting, ready to cosset and welcome you. Flagging faith can be revived and what was impossible may become only unlikely. For a desperate brother carrying his silent sibling over his shoulder, spotting the promissory glow of a lone light emanating from the window of a small and solitary dwelling, was all it took.
