This one is fairly stupid, but I'll put it up here anyway. I'm very high on NickXFranziska at the moment, so if you're not a fan of this couple you'll have to excuse me. Still...I think this fic is somewhat open to interpretation, so make of it what you will.
Phoenix Wright and associated characters are the property of Capcom.
Franziska had been in court all day, all thanks to that foolish defense attorney fool, Phoenix Wright. How she hated him, how she despised him, how she wanted to crush him into little…But she was far to exhausted to waste her precious thoughts on that buffoon. Seeing a comfortable looking couch in the court lobby, she decided it would be a perfect place for someone as perfect as herself to get a quick nap.
Meanwhile, Phoenix Wright was walking along the courthouse, going over a particularly befuddling case with his usual nemesis, Miles Edgeworth. The two happened across the peaceful scene of Franziska, snoozing on the couch, mouth slightly ajar.
"Well, isn't this a charming sight," Edgeworth said, looking down the end of his nose at the sleeping woman, drool just beginning to run out the corner of her mouth. He looked over at Wright, who was gazing at Franziska with the most peculiar expression. Suddenly, a thought occurred to Edgeworth.
"Wright, you see that mole on Franziska's face?" he said in an undertone.
"Well, sure, it's hard to miss," Phoenix responded. He was still staring at Franziska; his entire demeanor was quite unreadable.
"Well, don't tell her I told you this, but I swear if you look closely, it bears a striking resemblance to Damon Gant." Edgeworth eyed his companion.
"You're lying," Phoenix answered quickly.
"Oh am I? Why don't you go and take a look for yourself, while she's still asleep?" prodded the prosecutor.
Phoenix looked warily at the sleeping tigress. He turned to Edgeworth, who reassured him with a nod, and approached Franziska the way one might approach a venomous snake. Finally, as he stood over her, he squinted, and moved closer to her face.
"Well I'll be damned, it really is Gant!"
Just at that moment, Edgeworth yelled "Objection!" in quite a loud voice. Franziska gave a start, her head jerking upward, and found herself lip locked with a most unfortunate man. Phoenix, who had been frightened into paralysis, stared wide-eyed into what was steadily becoming the most poisonous glare that had ever pierced him. Edgeworth watched, quite amused, as the two of them remained motionless, Franziska looking daggers at Phoenix, and Phoenix sweating profusely. Edgeworth turned away, quite satisfied with himself, and continued to peruse the court record.
Several days later, Miles was just coming out of the courtroom when he was accosted by a girl in hippie clothes.
"Hey, Mr. Edgeworth! Have you seen Nick around lately? He hasn't been at the office for a few days now," asked Maya.
"Oh, Maya. No, I haven't seen him since his case against Franziska," Edgeworth returned in a slightly bemused tone.
"Hm…now that I think about it, I've been looking for Nick around the courthouse, but I haven't seen her around either," she said, referring to Franziska. Edgeworth grinned.
"I don't think its anything to be too concerned about. Why don't I take you for a burger, Maya?"
"Hey, that sounds great!" she beamed. She took his arm, and led them to her favorite burger joint, an inexplicable smirk plastered on Edgeworth's face the whole time.
