These places and some of the characters belong to J. .

Here I am Diagon Alley. It's amazing. People like me everywhere. Wow. "Enough dawdling Savannah, we have things to do!" mum uttered. Reluctantly, I turned away. "First place on the list is the pet shop, then after that its Olivanders, I already collected your books and robes earlier this morning when you and your father were fast asleep." "Thanks mum, I'm glad we can cut out all the boring stuff," I replied unenthusiastically. Of course mum didn't notice – she never does.

Immediately as soon as I entered the pet shop I knew which animal I wanted. "Him." I murmured. "What dear? Oh I know what about that Owl?" I blanked her; solemnly I walked over to the cat trembling, and picked him up. He was beautiful, not handsome, beautiful. His fur was sleek and shiny his eyes the colour of midnight the tip of the tail was ashes then faded into stone. He was beautiful. Without thinking I reached for my purse and paid the witch at the till and walked out the shop – my mum running after me. As soon as she caught up and started to talk, my mind began to break out of its confusion. "What were you thinking you didn't even ask me if you could buy this ragtag animal you just went into some sort of trance if you ever do that again young lady you'll be in deep trouble." when I looked up I realised mum was fuming mad I could imagine steam coming out of her ears. "He's not ragtag," I said firmly whilst walking towards Olivanders, in the back ground I could hear my mum curse under her breath "teenagers..."

Ding. Wow I thought Olivander must really begin to hate that bell after a few days. "Welcome to Olivanders," Mr Olivander said in a bright forthcoming way. "Let me get you a wand to try." I nodded. This was a big moment for me, and my wand. "Now then let's try this one," he decided after climbing a ten ft ladder and reaching for a wand on the highest shelf – then he slid back down. After handing it to me, he looked expectantly, my mother just looked anxious. Nervously I waved it... CRASH! The very expensive looking vase fell off the shelf; however, Olivander didn't look that bothered. He turned round then went looking for another wand. On top of his desk I saw a whitish wand and it looked pretty cool so me being me i picked it up and that's when I started glowing. Whilst all that was going on to me I heard Olivander yell "Inconceivable!" Even my mum looked pretty startled, which is unusual even for her. Then the lights faded and Olivander spoke softly "Aspen wood, phoenix feather core, 11 ¾" in length and a surprisingly swishy flexibility." He looked shocked. Then mum broke the silence "Thank you Mr Olivander, it's been a pleasure." With a weird glazed over look in his eyes he said "The pleasure is all mine."
