Derek watched Chloe from the backseat of the car. Chloe's meddling Aunt had managed to seperate them again. It wasn't his fault he was a gentically altered werewolf. It wasn't his fault he had recently discovered that Chloe was his Mate. He couldn't help that.
Lauren never looked at Derek like he was a person. Most didn't. They either knew what he was or treated him as if he were some teenage thug. Derek had came to the conclusion long ago that if it wasn't for Simon and his Dad, he'd simply grab Chloe and get the hell away from everyone who had ever tried to hurt her...or him.
