Blue sky, soft clouds-

The lovely sent of spring.

Lush grass and dandelions-

Is this anything but a dream?

Ominous and dark,

Changed within a moment.

Harsh peaks; banshee's wail;

Hoping just to hold it.

Never another quiet day-

To wander there and back.

Search for a peaceful moment,

The time you need, you lack.

From one point to another;

The end ever drawing near.

Hope, somewhere is shining,

Just anywhere but here.

Take a rest among new friends-

Placing tentive trust with them.

Then to the deepening shadows,

Will this journey end?

Try with all your might-

The end has come at last.

Pain and worry never ending.

Time slipping-

Gone so fast…
