Never Again: Limitless

Back story;

Max and Fang are the perfect couple, they seem to know exactly what the other is thinking without even having to exchange words. After all the hardships they've faced together, they finally are together for good. One day they were blessed with having a beautiful baby girl. One thing that made her different was the fact that she didn't have any wings. Fang and Max decided to not tell her about their wings' so the baby could grow up a normal life. This all changes the day she gets the pendant.

Chapter 1: Flying High

My trembling hands clutched the pendant that dangled loosely around my neck. My long dark hair drifted behind me in the night wind. My heart felt as though it was going to leap out of my chest at any moment. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath trying to calm my thoughts. I let go of the pendant slowly and turned around. Turned my back to the ledge, then I let myself fall off the building. Backwards.

As I descended towards the ground, the cool breeze rushed through my hair. My ears were filled with the sound of wind and my heart was pounding so fast I thought it might burst. I then remembered to open my eyes to see how close I was to the ground. I twisted around in midair so I was now falling face forward towards the, fast approaching, ground. My vision was almost completely blurred, thanks to the darkness and the fact that I was falling at a pretty fast speed, but I managed to make out the gray looking figure. About three yards away, from the ground, I unfurled my long and powerful wings. They immediately caught me and hoisted me into the air. I began to soar higher and higher into the night with every stroke of my wings. For the first time in my life I felt free, and it was all thanks to the pendant.

I was free. Free to do or go anywhere I chose. There was no one to hold me down. There is no one to tell me my limits. I am limitless.

I don't own Maximum Ride, even though I wish I did. I do own the plot, and the characters not from Maximum Ride.
