Everything and Nothing
Chapter One
Dr. Horrible hated his new costume. It scratched his body as well as the collar being to tight on his neck. The bottom of the coat was to long and he always was caught stumbling into the EVE meetings. Above all it was red. Dr. Horrible hated red because that was the most frequent color of his skin as a child.
He didn't care much for his allies on the EVE either. Dr. Mukluk always acted superior to him and usually knew more about Dr. Horrible's invention than Dr. Horrible. Phage seemed always trying to flirt with him in one way or the other and while she was somewhat hot he pushed all her attempts away. Johoon never really spoke to Dr. Horrible and frankly Dr. Horrible thought men who wore that much makeup had to be rather odd.
Then there was Bad Horse and Dr. Horrible was shocked and appalled by the horrific nature of most of his schemes. Capturing superheroes' young children to ravage across humanity was his latest scheme and Dr. Horrible had been shocked. This was after the schemes to infect senior citizens with a biogenic drug that forced them to become Bad Horse's slaves and the scheme to kill the entire population of Murfreesboro. All these Dr. Horrible had helped and he had trouble going to sleep every night.
This was one of those nights where he could only hear the screams of the population of Murfreesboro killed by his deathtrap. Dr. Horrible got out of his bed and changed into his old white uniform. He turned his computer on and checked his email. As he thought he had thousands of emails sent from the families of the people in Murfreesboro. Dr. Horrible read each of them for a time but it became obvious.
He was in the big leagues now and because of his genius the EVE was slowly taking over the world. What did Dr. Horrible care though, Captain Hammer was a broken shell somewhere and Penny.
Dr. Horrible blocked of the thought before it even formed within his mind. The only way he could remain sane was rejecting the fact of, her, existence. He shut down his computer staring at the blank screen long after the computer had stopped humming. He had everything he wanted and yet he had nothing at all.
