Hidden Messages
River gasped. She could feel their anger flowing through her veins. So much pain, so much anger. River screamed. The pain was increasing so fast her head was spinning. River had no idea who was so angry, but she didn't have to wonder, as she could hear shouting, frantic angry screams.
"No! Please, no! It can't be! Not now, not now!" A strangers voice rung out, echoing against the walls of Rivers mind. The despair hit River hard, crashing her to the ground. Sadness, pain, anger, she felt it all. Finally, Simon could be heard, coming in to check on her.
"River? What's the matter? Shh, it's ok, I'm here now." Simon hugged his sister close, trying to hold her shaking form still, as she fell deeper into her mind.
"Hidden Messages, on repeat, no one to hear but me, no one to help me, no one understands, no one hears them!" River shrunk against her brother, his arms offering little comfort, but she needed his warmth. His warmth was the only thing that saved her against the never ending coldness of her mind.
