Disclaimer: I don't own anything, not CSI, not Sara Sidle, not Nick Stokes (though I really with I owned Nick Stokes), Nothing. CBS and Jerry Bruckheimer own those. I'm just borrowing them, and I promise to return them in the same, if not better, condition that they were in.

Authors Note: Thanks to TheSilentQuill for betaing for me. If not for her, this would have been a complete mess. Oh, and to MadGeorge, for helping me with the idea. :-)

Sara Sidle arrived at the lab with a small rolling suitcase and a couple of houseplants. The houseplants were looking kind of droopy, since she had been neglecting them for days.

"Hey Sara. Going somewhere?" Greg asked as she entered the locker room.

"Yes Greg, I always take my plants with me when I leave town," she said with a roll of her eyes. "Actually, my apartment building has a bit of a mold problem. Apparently the stuff got into the air
ducts. So I'll be staying at a hotel for the next few weeks."

Greg said that she could stay with him, but Sara remembered overhearing a conversation he had with Nick. They were talking about their apartments, and Greg disclosed that he spent only a
modest amount on rent and furniture in order to buy a top of the line gaming system and entertainment centre. He also spent an inordinate amount of money on hair care products.

"You live in a studio apartment with a futon. I heard you telling Nick once."

"I'll share!"

Sara wrinkled her nose. The mental image of sharing a futon with Greg became almost too much for her to bear. "Um, no thanks," she said politely, trying not to let her voice show how unpleasant the thought was for her. Greg was a nice guy, if a little too eager.

"Well, if you change your mind…"Greg left the offer hanging. Maybe one day his idol would see the light.

"I won't," she said with a sense of finality.

Warrick and Nick entered the locker room then, hearing just the tail end of the conversation.
"What is Sara changing her mind about?" asked Nick

"Hey, nice plants." Warrick said, with a bit of sarcasm in his voice.

"I was just telling Greg that I won't change my mind about staying at his place while my building gets it's mold problem cleaned up." Sara explained.

"Hey, if you need a place to stay, I have a spare bedroom." Nick offered.

"I was just going check into a hotel." Sara said, Whatever hotel we don't have an investigation at. She thought. Even without an investigation, she shuddered at the thought of what might be crawling around on those hotel sheets.

Nick pictured Sara in her hotel room, checking everything over with her blue light. Knowing what most people that came to Vegas do, Sara wouldn't get a moments rest in a hotel room, and would probably end up sleeping in the break room until Ecklie shooed her away.

"Besides, staying at a hotel will cost you a small fortune. Casa del Nick, is free of charge, and you can't beat the company."

Sara was a bit ashamed that Nick could tell how disgusted she'd feel at a hotel, but she was thankful for his offer. "Thanks Nick, that sounds a lot better than spending all my money on a room I wouldn't like." The two exited the locker room.
