Okay so this is my first story (hooray!) i first started writing this when i was like 13 and know i just tried to improve on it and now i'm revamping it!

Major pairings:

Sasuke/Naruto(first, then Sai/Naruto)

Itachi/Deidara

Kakashi/Iruka

and that's all for now. Other pairings will show up later. it won't be all slash pairings either. Please review and rate and all that fun stuff please! nice stuff is loved, criticism hated but necessary so i'll take that to!

"Thanks again Naruto!"

"No problem, it's the least I could do after the trouble I caused!" Naruto yelled as he waved at the older woman as she continued on her way, the contents of her basket back in their proper place after they had been displaced by the cheery blonde.

Life in the leaf village had been good for all of its inhabitants for quite some time now, in fact ever since recovering Sasuke and putting a stop to any of his plans or actions most of the villages seemed to be doing well minus a few skirmish here and there. It was actually felt a lot like the calm before the storm. Or maybe the eye of the storm seeing how there was already a lot of chaos before this and probably a larger amount coming afterwards. Come what may though, all the ninjas of the leaf were taking the peace things in stride, but continued to prepare for the future, especially the rookie nine seeing as how they were the ones usually dragged into the middle of every big fray.

After the incident with Orochimaru, Sasuke came back to the village, just the way Naruto said he would, kicking and screaming while Naruto dragged him back. But not before his fight with Itachi. You see Sasuke did indeed get stronger under Orochimaru, and after he got what he wanted from him he killed him. Then he went after his brother, finally finding him just as he was approaching Naruto, Sasuke stopped him and the two Uchiha's began to fight and once Naruto found his way to the fight he joined in, all fighting to beat the other either to death, or into submission.

Somehow Deidara got involved and they found out that Itachi and Deidara were lovers and they combined their strengths to fight the two younger ninja's. Somewhere along the way Naruto was knocked unconscious, Sasuke fought alone and was beaten to near death, but the intention never was to actually kill him. Unbeknownst to Sasuke, Itachi never was under his own control when he killed their clan all those years ago, it was Madara, so the only reason Itachi still fought Sasuke was so he would stop chasing him, because he knew Sasuke wouldn't until he heard his side of the story even though it wasn't guaranteed he'd even listen.

Then Naruto woke up to see Itachi standing over Sasuke, and mistaking him for actually trying to kill him, Naruto awoke Kyuubi and nearly killed Itachi, but Deidara stepped in the way and took most of the blow and was knocked out as well as Itachi, when Naruto went to keep attacking he was stopped by Sasuke who told Naruto what Itachi told him, then promptly fainted. Seeing his opportunity, and taking pity on the other two outcaste ninjas, Naruto dragged all three of them back to the village. Before reaching the village though, Sasuke woke up and upon seeing were they were going began struggling and screaming profanities at the blonde, trying his best to get away.

He didn't.

Upon seeing the three the fugitives, the village guards took them in for interrogation while waiting for Tsunade to make a decision on what to do with them.

Now here is the part where things get weird.

After the news of this event spread throughout the village the Yondaime suddenly appeared alive and well! He survived because, when he put the demon in Naruto, no one knew that his wife put here remaining energy into his body so that he could live. Ashamed to be alive after all that had happened and to afraid to raise a son that he knew would hate him for what he did, Minato went into self-imposed exile and was thought to be dead, until he got the information on the increasing activities in the village supplied by Tsunade and Jiraiya, the only two people that knew he was alive and regularly fed him information about the village, so when he learned of this, he decided enough was enough, and he was coming back to the village. After the last even it became clear to him that with Tsunade soon retiring he would reclaim his position during the time of peace, because he, with his limited information, could sense an ensuing battle and he planned to be there ready and waiting.

So he took charge of the village again, with no objections from the people and immediately decided to put the three criminals through trial, rehabilitation, parole, and house arrest, until finally letting them build a life as new citizens and ninjas of the leave. The whole process taking four years. Then in the fifth year Sasuke and Itachi were allowed to train as ninja's again and were now each apart of the ANBU black ops organization while Deidara, surprisingly, said he'd had enough of fighting and decided to make his art his main priority. four years into the five year process were Sasuke was on house arrest with Naruto volunteering to help take care of the Uchiha's and Deidara, he found himself in a relationship with Sasuke and that continued on until this very day. After the incident Naruto was recognized as a hero to the village and was no longer hated and ignored for what was in him, especially with his father Minato back there would be no toleration of hatred for Naruto, especially since the elder Uzumaki made it clear that once he retired his son would be taking his place. After the small detour he continued down the path to his-their house, slightly dreading having to go there...The Uchiha Manor.

'I need to be happy. I have a home, a boyfriend-loving I might add-, and even respect from the villagers. I should be happier!'

\But you're not are you kit?/

'Kyuubi! I told you not to invade in my thoughts like that!'

\but you're not. are. you? / The edge in Kyuubi's voice showing angered frustration.

'...I...h-he loves me-'

\Is that what you plan to keep telling yourself?/ Again her voice shifted, now dismayed by what she heard. Though hopeful because of the lack of conviction in the words

Naruto stopped walking and put his head down, trying to keep the tears of frustration out of his eye's 'S-shut up Kyuubi what do you know?'

\I know that he says he loves you even though you're covered in bruises./ Naruto rubbed his left bicep. \I know he only says he needs right before he asks for sex. I also know you agreed to avoid talking about his touchy subjects, yet he picks at your most sensitive areas without mercy. /

'That's not true he doesn't… I mean he only says and does those things when he's mad, he doesn't mean it! And Sasuke just has a hard time expressing himself all the time that's all.'

\So disregarding the whole self-expression thing, do you really think it's ok for him to mentally and physically abuse you because he's upset?/

That was the first time he'd heard anyone describe the situation between him and Sasuke as abuse, not that anyone knew about their problems other than Kyuubi, and that's only because she had no choice but to be a witness.

The way Naruto and Kyuubi's link is set up is, they have one shared subconscious, but two completely different consciousness's, like a two bedroom apartment. There was Naruto's mind, Kyuubi's mind and a shared mental area. The two could come together in the shared area when every they pleased, but the only way into the single mind of each other would be to be allowed in side by the other, or to force your way through during a time of weakness for either person, but they now respected each other enough to only do something like that during an extremely dire situation. The down side is, while they may share different consciousness's, their emotional state affect each other because emotions reach to the subconscious level.

This is how Kyuubi became aware or Naruto's problems, that and the fact that she began to realize that the wounds she was healing were not only more frequent, but also a lot different than the usual battle wounds.

Unable to answer the question, Naruto decided to just defend Sasuke instead.

'Sasuke's NOT abusing me! We just fight! All couples fight!'

/Like that? I think not. Besides, for it to be a fight you'd have to defend yourself at some point-/

'I do!'

/Oh? Sasuke has these types of bruises too? You hurt him the way he hurts you? /

'…'

/I really hate throwing it in your face like this kit, but he is abusing you. I'm sorry, but it's true and no one that loves you would do this, you're in denial an-/

"I'm not so SHUT UP!" The blonde yelled aloud. His Shoulders shaking with the effort to keep from crying and with one deep cleansing breath, managed to pull it together. When he looked up, the few people in the surrounding area were looking at him with varying degress of worry, but were unsure if it was their place to say anything. At this point, not knowing what to say he kind of just froze the tears beginning to well up once again.

"Okay that's enough staring people go back to what you're doing" Naruto looked to his side to see Iruka sensei commanding people to go back to their own lives, his commanding voice managing to affect everyone despite many of them being older than him. After everyone was began to dissipate, The two faced each other, Naruto's fake cheesy smile already in place, so he missed the look of concern and anger on his former sensei's face.

"Thanks for that Iruka sensei! You see I was-"

"Cut the act Naruto"

His smile faltered he took on a confused expression.

"W-what are you talking about sensei?" Naruto asked. He continued to look at his former student, the concern never leaving his eyes, but the anger becoming more prominent. "Come Naruto, we have stuff to talk about." He turned sharply on his heel and began walking not having to check to know that the blonde was close on his heels.

After a while he wondered why Iruka would want to talk to him but kept quiet. It wasn't too much later when he realized they were going to Iruka and Kakashi's apartment. They entered the apartment and Iruka pointed towards the dolphin grey colored coach not even looking at Naruto.

"Sit Naruto."

He sat down immediately, waiting patiently for his teacher to begin the talk. The aura Iruka had around him was more serious than usual, so he something was up. Iruka then sighed quietly, almost in defeat and just sat down beside Naruto, staring him down. First he just studied the boy for a moment. Then closed his eyes and sighed again.

"How long Naruto?"

"How long?" Naruto said a feeling in his gut telling him where this was going. After all not even ten minutes ago he'd been having a conversation that fell very akin to this one.

"How long have things been bad between you and Sasuke?" Sometimes intuition really sucked. Instead of acknowledging it though, Naruto decided to pretend he didn't know what he was talking about, hoping Iruka was just pulling at threads.

"Bad? Iruka sensei, me and Sasuke have been doing very great I don'-"

"Unzip your jacket." Naruto's heart skipped a beat.

"W-what?" To impatient to wait, Iruka unzipped his jacket and exposed his upper arm, Naruto not even fighting to free himself.

"I saw how he grabbed you this morning when I was on my way to work. I knew it would leave a bruise. Not to mention I've seen the way you two act around each other when you think no one is looking." Iruka let go of Naruto's jacket, but Naruto was too shocked from the information he was receiving to even think about his jacket. "For the last few months you have been looking to afraid to even open your mouth when not directly spoken to, and Sasuke seems even more irritable and on edge than usual."

Shaken up by how attentive his formal teacher had been towards him and Sasuke, Naruto saw his only way out might be through denial.

"Sensei you're over reacting" Naruto said, putting on his best charming smile.

"He really didn't grab me all that hard, besides that was a onetime thing, we just had an intense argument before at moment that was all!" Iruka didn't look convinced.

"I'll admit Naruto that was the first time I actually saw him touch you, but the way he has been speaking to you is completely unacceptable. Everyone else may think this is just how you to communicate considering your past relationship, but I can tell what he says hurts you! He always seems to manage to sneak a jinchuriki comment into his conversations, not to mention he belittles your intelligence all the time, even more so since you've been nominated to take over as hokage.

Naruto stood up from the couch and turned around to face Iruka in a huff. "And that gives you a reason to go and think I've been abused?! So he makes a comment here and there he doesn't mean anything by it!"

Iruka stood up to, be coming passionate in his point.

"Yes he does! Stop defending him Naruto Why can't you see what's going on!" He pleaded, becoming desperate. Deep down he knew Naruto wasn't ready to except the fact that what was happening was abuse, but he was so scared for the boy he considered a son that he couldn't use logic in this moment.

"BECAUSE NOTHING IS GOING ON!" Naruto had reached the end of his patients. First Kyuubi now Iruka sensei, he was DONE! Why was everyone trying to get involved in his personal relationship! What right did they have to judge him?

He was so angry he failed to notice two things. First was the look of shock and defeat in his former teacher's face, he almost looked heartbroken really, and second was the opening of the apartment door.

"And what exactly is not going on?" The two occupants of the room whipped their head around to see Kakashi in the doorway, holding a bag of groceries. His eyes sharp, trying to analyzing the situation.
