A./N.- Another piece typed with my Dragon NaturallySpeaking headset. I'm getting really good with this thing.

When Jim Kirk stepped onto his bridge, he knew he would regret this shift.
Someone had gone all-out Christmas-y on his bridge. Uhura, in her seat at communications, was grinning ear to ear.
"It's Christmas Eve, Captain, lighten up! It was bound to happen sometime." She giggled and spun in her chair.
Ignoring her, Jim took his place at helm, observing what had to be a violation of the upkeep of Federation starship. Hopefully, they wouldn't have much to deal with today.
Spock, standing from his station, came to genocide to hand him a report.
In the transporter room, Scotty fiddled with the transporters wires, McCoy watching over his shoulder.
"Are you sure you can rig this thing to transport in the ship?"
Scotty huffed, "Aye, sir, but tha's nae what I'm worried 'bout."
"What, then?"
"I'm worried 'bout where it's goin' 'ta land."
McCoy grinned, "Didn't Chapel tell you? It's goin' right over the captain's chair."
Scotty slapped the cover over the department he had been working on, fighting back fits of laughter. "Who d'ya s'pose will be under there with him?"
"Leave it to fate." McCoy set the sprig of mistletoe on the transporter pad and stepped back.
Scotty punched in the command, "Beaming in three, two, one..."
Back on bridge, no one noticed the freshly beamed mistletoe hanging just over the captain and commander's heads. Then, Uhura looked up.
"Oh, Captain! Commander! It's mistletoe!"
McCoy and Scotty emerged onto the bridge to cheering from the crew. Even the normally quiet Sulu was chanting with them, "Kiss! Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!"
Spock, one eyebrow raised, looked questioningly at Kirk, "I find this highly illogical."
Jim stood, looking imposing, and the bridge crew went silent. Then, he moved forward, his hands behind Spock's head, and their lips met.
As the cheering started up and grew louder, both men eased the kiss deeper.
McCoy elbowed Scotty in the gut, "Told you it would work."
