Are You Happy Now?

Draco's eyes scanned the dining hall, landing on the Golden Trio as usual. He sighed to himself as he watched them chatting among themselves. He stabbed his bacon with a fork in frustration. Because of this, he nearly missed the quick glance from Potter, and that made him smile.

Potter had been ignoring him lately. He missed picking fights with him in public, it just made their secret more special to him. It was just them, nobody else. It seemed like Draco just couldn't be satisfied. He thought of their fight—the first real fight they had. One that wasn't just for show.

It seemed like Harry was content to not name what was happening between the two of them. Draco knew his jealousy was ungrounded, but he wouldn't be happy until Harry was his, and only his.

"Malfoy," Harry said, meeting him after breakfast.

"Can we talk?"

Draco just nodded sulkingly and followed Harry into an empty classroom.

This is it. He is leaving me for good this time. Draco thought.

Harry closed the door without speaking, letting his mask drop and his hunger shine through his green eyes. He pushed Draco against the closed door, kissing him, pouring his emotions into the kiss.

"I noticed you staring," Harry said, pulling back slightly.

"I thought you're mad at me," Draco said, pouting. He was unable to just be satisfied with what was happening between them.

"Draco, we agreed to keep this casual," Harry said with a sigh.

"I know but…" Draco started, but Harry kissed him again.

"Shhhh. . ." Harry whispered against his lips.

"I know what we said, but it's not enough anymore," Draco said dramatically. This didn't prevent him kissing Harry back any chance he got, though.

"What do you want then, Draco?" the brunet asked in dismay.

"Would you be happy if I told you I love you? Do you want to shock the school by coming out publicly and fabulously? Do you want me to tell you that all these years following you and teasing you has led me to falling for you? That I am so scared that I would lose you that it keeps me up at night?"

Draco was shocked into silence at these words. Could Harry really love him? He wanted to say, Yes, yes a thousand times yes, but his mouth wasn't working.

"Are you happy now?" Harry continued with an annoyed tone, looking into those pale grey eyes.

Draco let out a tentative smile that reached those usually cold eyes.

"Something like that," he finally said with a wink.

"For now though, maybe just knowing that we are exclusive? I have never been good at sharing," Draco continued.

Harry's mouth dropped open in shock. "You mean. . . all the nagging, the fighting, you not being satisfied, and all you wanted was to know if I was seeing other people?"

Draco nodded, suddenly blushing.

"You absolute idiot," Harry started and Draco felt his heart sink. Here it comes, he is dumping me.

"How is there any doubt in your mind that you're the only one I want? Of course we are exclusive," Harry responded.

"You haven't been, I mean. . ." Harry couldn't get the words out.

"Of course I haven't, I only want you," Draco admitted easily.

"Are you happy now?" Harry asked again, waiting for his lover to respond.

"Yes, yes, yes," Draco said happily, temper tantrum forgotten. Harry was his. Draco could forget everything else now, except the here and now.

"And Harry, I love you too," Draco responded before going back to kissing him.
