Disclaimer: I do not own any of these characters. They are owned by DC and Cartoon Network. If I owned them there would so have been a new season……… anyway………… Enjoy!!!
All was calm in Jump City. The birds were singing, the bees were buzzing and the town's protectors were enjoying their day off from crime fighting. All of the villains were in their jail cells and the crimes being committed were insignificant enough for the local authorities to take care of. Yes, it seemed to be the perfect day for the Titans to finally relax.
Now, what do the Teen Titans do when not fighting crime you ask? Well, Robin was in the training room, sparring with a sparring robot that Cyborg built to keep Robin from trying to spar with him. Cyborg was in the garage upgrading the T-Car with a shield generator. Starfire was at the mall, trying to find the perfect gift to give Robin for his birthday that was coming up in two weeks. Raven was reading an ancient tome on the couch in the living room. And Beast Boy was in his room, writing in a small lime green notebook that had a doodle of a skinny, teenage, anime character leaning against a giant wooden hammer on the cover.
As soon as the changeling finished writing, he picked up his notebook and headed into the living room. He noticed Raven and grinned, 'Today is the day. I can feel it' He thought as he sat next to her. "Hey Rae, wanna hear a joke?" Beast Boy innocently asked. "Fine but I reserve the right to throw you out the window if it's horrible" Raven said in her usual monotonous voice. "Ok what do you get when you cross a parrot and a millipede?" Beast Boy asked grinning. "What" Raven said aggravated. "A Walkie Talkie" Beast Boy said cracking up. Raven sighed and threw him out into the sea. "He will never learn" she sighed.
As she sat back down she noticed the little lime green notebook that the changeling had before his little swim. Raven picked it up and looked at the cover, noticing the doodle. 'Must be one of those characters of those Japanese cartoons he watches so often' she thought, 'Well it's a decent drawing. I wonder what else is in here.' Her curiosity got the best of her as she began to flip through the pages. She stopped at the last page and read what it said
This poem is for a certain empath that I have longed to see smile for so long
Invisible
I sit right behind you
And you don't notice me.
If somehow I only knew
Why I'm so hard to see.
Do I blend in so well?
Or am I so discreet
That when I start to yell
You don't hear a beat?
You seem to be so unaware
Of the fact that I exist.
You would not even care
If I was lost in the mist.
The lack of concern you've shown
Is like a bullet to my heart.
I really wish that you had known
How much I long to be with you.
But you know as well as I,
I'm like gum on your shoe,
And I won't catch your eye
At that moment, Raven's eyes began to tear up. 'Does he really mean that' she thought. A tear fell onto the page as Beast Boy walked into the room, soaking wet "Hey, what's the big idea?!? Throwing me into the ocean like that" the little green changeling yelled. Raven then looked at Beast Boy and smiled "I told you if that joke was bad I'd throw you out the window" As Raven walked out of the room, Beast Boy whispered to himself "Operation: Smiling Raven is a success!" As he was grinning, he noticed his little notebook was open and had a little note written in red ink that said "You already caught my eye, just quit telling bad jokes"
Well that's the end. Tell me what you think or else I'll never improve as a writer. In case you're wondering, I wrote the poem in BB's notebook. It's a Ninja of the Pen original. Well keep on reading!
