The king has fallen

It had been two years since the fall of the last king the crown prince had been informed and trained on his duties as future ghost king. His was taught of his duties by father time himself as no other could recall all the duties that have and may befall the young prince. No successful challenger to his rite of rule had stepped up in the peacetimes between kings the infinite realms were prepared for the crowning of their new patriarch. Many were dubious of his write and ability to rule as a mere halfa.

They would wait their turn for their judgment to be passed. At the young age of 16 a mere two death days past his entrance into the land of the dead( or half dead as it may be) the young crown prince of the ghost zone was to begin the journey of his kingdom and it connecting domains fore his subjects wished to speak to to their soon to be king.

By law if the infinite realms before a king is crowned he is to travers his kingdom in order to bring about alliances and treaties that are no longer effective with the fall of the old king. This was more than a short visit to his holdings. No this was a way for the prince to learn of his subjects standing with their new king as well as an opportunity for the subjects themselves to form a more personal understanding of their crown prince.

Throughout his travels the king was to stay within the land he was currently negotiating with until an agreement could be made. The negotiations could take as little as a day or as long a month before negotiations were deemed unwilling to come to an agreement. these unwilling ones would be either cut off from or become enemies of the new king.

The crown prince during his stay is expected to settle disputes in his current land of refuge to show that he could rule fairly. As well as learn the ways opinions and history of that land if they so wished for him to. These were common conditions that would prove his commitment and show his abilities to his soon to be sauvjects. Before negotiations and treaties were began a king would have to prove himself in the eyes of the people he would someday rule over. What challenges he may face or characteristics he must prove himself to have we're unknown. A king may be tested of body, mind spirit or heart his courage loyalty faith tested. He would need to be adept it political and martial prowess to protect these people.

At the end of his stay he would have hopeful have earned a token of their loyalty to their future king. A single drop of pure core from the heart of their home. Upon his return these minuscule drops would be combined to form his symbol of power as well as his crown. the intentions of those lands and their loyalties to their king would infuse his symbol with power that would help him shape the realms as they hoped it to be.

It was hoped that at the end of the two years in his 18th human year on his fourth death day the new king was to be crowned with most if not all of the approval of the infinite realms inhabitants. if not than the four year mourning-period (though their wasn't much to mourn) of the fallen king would end. If the truce were to end without a king on the thrown war would break out. ghosts all across the realms would fight to put one if their own on the thrown. they would raise armies in the jope that by encroaching on the land of others and making them their own. in their ploys to gain more power they would all become weaker. That is how the realms gained their last tyrant and those ghost that were ancient enough to remember the chaos would rather meet their end than suffer through another period of unrest.

This is the story of the kings travel through the land of what was soon to be his infinite realm.
