Asahira Tomo, 24, was cynical, blunt and downright stubborn, much so from birth. Firm and strong as she was, it came no surprise that she was very well respected among her fellow mafiaso and was rumoured to be the most feared assassin that had shed the blood of the underground world. She also had the respect of its strongest famiglia, the Vongola. Though this was far before Sawada Tsunayoshi had formally inherited the position of Vongola Decimo. Right from back in middle school.
Yes, she had walked those hallways just as much as those goofballs that now haunt over the mafia world, controlling its very core.
Asahira Tomo was the childhood friend of a one very ill-tempered Hibari Kyoya.
Hibari Kyoya, cold and distant to all around him was perhaps a little warm and gentle when it came to her. And also perhaps a little too over-protective as she would say, especially since that day she was forcefully tainted by that of a gang of local thieves.
Though he never said it in words - well, Hibari was never a man of words to begin with - she knew, just knew, he blamed himself for it.
And as much as she tried to deny the extent to which that day affected her, the recurring flashbacks and nightmares was something to go by.
The rough grip on her wrists as she felt her thighs grow sore and tears of utter frustration flowing down her cheeks as her entire body trembled with fear mixed with electrifying pain.
She'd experience that pain every night as the blood boiled in her veins.
She did seek professional help at one point and PTSD - they had put it across so easily to her along with a few meds she took on a daily basis which did do a little to help with the prevailing symptoms. However, it did nothing to help her with her heavy heart which she had slowly gotten used to over the years. Having been ripped off an image of the bright world at the mere age of 14, Tomo did not so much as move without having had scrutinized with those sharp ice blue eyes. And it was perhaps this very trait that made her as skilled as she was at her line of work.
But it was also because of this that she couldn't bring herself to trust anyone.
Hibari Kyoya being the only exception.
However, even to him there were things that stayed deep below the surface. But to be quite fair, these stayed deep below the surface even to herself. Even if she herself decided so much as to even put a finger on it, she'd auto-pilot into a state of panic and therefore, a large part of herself remained unknown.
In short, Asahira Tomo, 24, was cynical, blunt, downright stubborn and an absolute fucking mess.
