"This is hopeless," Steve said as he kicked the floor, "no one ever wants to dance with me."
"Do you know how to dance?"
"No."
Bucky smiled, "I can teach you."
"Really?" Steve looked up at him.
"Yeah sure, why not?"
The brunette walked over to their record player they'd been given from the elderly woman next door. He played something slow.
Bucky quickly turned to face Steve. He gave out his signature smirk that made all the dames go crazy while holding out his hand.
The blonde reluctantly took it and Bucky led him into the middle of their small apartment.
"Ok so I'll lead first. You put your hand here," Bucky moved the smaller mans hand into his shoulder, "then your other one goes like this," he carried on holding Steve's bony hand.
They started to step in time with eachother. While Steve looked down at their feet, the brunette smiled at him. He didn't understand why girls never wasted to dance with him. Maybe it was just because he'd spent his whole life with him, but Bucky thought his best friend was beautiful. Gorgeous. The light from the sunset hit Steve's face perfectly highlighting his blue eyes. His hair was golden. His jawline was breathtaking.
"You enjoying the view," Steve sniggered snapping Bucky out of his thoughts.
"Oh shut up you punk."
They looked at eachother for a while. Bucky didn't even notice they had stopped moving and were now just holding one another.
Bucky started to lean down into Steve.
"James," he breathed just before their lips met.
Their kiss was slow. Passionate. Steve had left go of Bucky's hand and was now cupping his face. When they pulled away, the brunette went a deep shade of red.
"What are we doing Buck?" Steve asked softly.
"I..."
"We can't do this."
"No one has to know."
"But you like girls."
"Are you a girl?"
"No."
"Then why do I like you?"
Steve pulled his hands way from Bucky's face. He wrapped his arms around his waist. Bucky reciprocated.
"How long?"
"What?" The brunette answered.
"How long have you felt like this?"
"A while. Since we were 16."
"Why'd it take you so long to tell me?"
"I didn't want to lose you. I love you more then anything."
"Buck, I..."
Bucky's eyes were met with the blondes when Steve pulled out of their embrace.
"I-I love you."
The brunette smiled softly, "I love you too."
