If I Was Gone Tomorrow . . . .
[A/N: This is another poem from Tobias's POV.]
If I was gone tomorrow,
Would you grieve for me?
If I was gone tomorrow,
Would you shed any tears,
For me?
If I was gone tomorrow,
Would you cry at all for me?
Or would you fight,
And seek vengeance for my life?
If I was gone tomorrow,
Would you remember who I was?
Or would you forget me,
Like a candle snuffing out,
Flickering away, on a breeze?
If I was gone tomorrow,
Would you watch the sun rising anymore,
Or the sky with the stars,
And the wind with it's words?
If I was gone tomorrow,
Would you ever remember who I was?
If I was gone tomorrow,
Would you cry at all for me?
So I'm asking you now,
Before I can be gone,
In the blink of an eye,
Struck down in the heat of battle.
If I was gone tomorrow,
Would you grieve for me . . . . ?
