ALONE...
Cho Chang laid her head down on the desk during History of Magic class. Normally she would have paid attention to even Professor Binns, but nothing seemed to matter anymore. She closed her eyes...
Once again it was the night of the Yule Ball. Cho Chang swirled into the Great Hall, hanging onto Cedric's arm. She smiled up at him and he grinned back reassuringly...
They were on the dance floor, spinning around in slow circles as they waltzed, pressed close together...
Quietly they stole out onto the balcony, and stared up at the stars together. Cho leaned against Cedric, and closed her eyes...
She and Cedric were facing each other. Cedric looked at her seriously. Cho started to speak, but he silenced her by kissing her...
They were swimming... he was laughing... she was singing... a hundred different images flickered across Cho's eyes, each worth a tear...
Cho Chang awoke to find the class gone. She picked up her books slowly. She knew she was late for Potions. She didn't care. Nothing mattered any more. She had moved through each day like a robot, unfeeling, uncaring. Her only escape was dreaming, dreaming of Cedric and happiness...
A/N: I wrote this piece a while back, after I finished the last book and was feeling a little sad, and sorry for Cho, even though I hate her as a character. It kinda made me think that she wasn't as bad as everyone made out.
