Title: Virtues Becoming a Princess
Disclaimer: I do not own
Li and Lo made their way to Azula's chambers. They were her advisors, which was a rewarding yet sometimes impossible job. When it came to her bending form, she listened to them more attentively than any student they had ever had. But when it came to certain matters talking to her was like talking to a stone wall. Sadly they were not going to speak to her about bending.
"What do you want?" the princess asked in an irritated tone. The twins both noted that Azula could smell their fear.
"We need to speak to you about your behavior, "Li stated nervously.
"It is about your virtues," added Lo.
The princess did not look amused or even interested.
"It is very important to maintain your virtues especially since you are the princess of our glorious Fire Nation," Li commented.
"We think you should improve your ways for your family sake," Lo added, knowing better than to name the faults she saw in the princess.
"It is the key to success," the twins said in unison.
"Key to success? Are you serious?" laughed Azula. She wondered if the two old broads were playing some sort of stupid joke on her. "Are you going to speak with my father about his lack of virtue?"
"No," Li replied.
"Of course not," Azula smirked. "Everyone can see my father's lack of virtues on Zuko's face. You've been around him most all of his life I'm sure you have seen the wrath and rage the flow though him. If you want me to change my ways, you need to change his ways. Be gone and speak with him about virtue."
"He is the Fire Lord," Lo remarked. "He has mostly proper virtue, but the rest of your family has proper standards."
"My brother was banished for believing that his views were superior to a distinguished general's," Azula pointed out. "He is full of pride, always has been. Now in his banishment no news comes from him other than about his obsession with restoring his position. For himself. Moving on, I guess I can see why you thought my mother was so virtuous. She was very discreet about her laziness. She gave up on me, her very own daughter, just because I was difficult. She even said cruel things about me when she thought I couldn't hear them."
"Then follow your uncle's lead," the twins replied.
"Uncle Iroh?" asked Azula in disbelief.
"Yes," the two said.
"He is the worst of all of us. Since from when I could remember he indulged himself with the finest food and wine of our Nation. He's gotten progressively worse in time." Azula rudely commented. "You must be blind also to never notice how big of a flirt he was, always flirting with every attractive young woman who he came across."
The two advisors sighed. They got the point. There was no point of arguing with the stubborn princess and so they left. Azula's grin widened upon her face, she was proud of her ability to outwit the wisest of her nation.
