The grand halls of The Castle That Never Was were silent except for the small sounds of boots clicking against the floor. The shorter nobody had his head looking down at the book in his hands while his slate colored hair fell in his face. His expression was blank, his blue eyes as emotionless as ever. He turned the corner without looking up and continued down a new hall. He came to an abrupt halt as heard an awful jumble of random notes assaulted his eardrums. He looked up from his book to find the noises coming from a room with a large number IX painted on the door.
He stared at the door for a moment before shaking his head. He should have known. He stood outside the door debating whether or not to check on him. The sound began to grow louder and his own curiosity seemed to get him. Against his better judgment, he decided to enter. He pushed open the door a little wider and peeked inside. It took him a moment to truly process what he saw.
Number IX sat on his bed with his sitar on the floor. His boots were thrown across the room and his bare feet were on the strings of his instrument. The notes were random and out of tune, but his face was a mask of concentration.
"Demyx? What are you doing?"
The blonde, mullet haired nobody's head snapped up and he accidentally kicked his Sitar. He looked up his ocean green eyes wide. His expression quickly turned happy as he caught sight of his fellow nobody. "Zexy!" He called as he picked up his sitar quickly looking it over for any scratches. He turned his gaze back to Zexion before smiling again. "What's up?"
"I believe I asked you first." Zexion responded crossing his arms.
"Hun?" Demyx tilted his head to the side. "…Oh yeah! Well you see, earlier today I was just sitting in the grey room, minding my own business, when Axel comes in. I was on a couch playing my sitar and Axel told me that he knew a test to find out if I really mastered my sitar or not. He said that if I truly mastered it, I would be able to play it with my toes. So, I've been in here practicing." Demyx finished with a wide smile.
Zexion found that he could only stare at him. He wasn't sure whether to be impressed at Demyx for being able to say that all in one breath or to slap his fore head and groan at how gullible his fellow nobody truly was. He decided on the later.
When he removed his hand he sighed, "Good luck with that Demyx." He knew better than to attempt to argue with him.
"Thanks, Zexy!" Demyx called back to him as he dropped his sitar to floor again.
Zexion turned out the door and began walking back to his room. He shook his head and sighed as he cracked his book open again. 'Only you Demyx, only you…'
(A/N) Yeah, not the best but it's not THAT bad XP
And yes, I did get my insperation from the sitar song XD
