I hear a knock on the door as I am grabbing my shoes. "Mom the door!" I say.
She says, "You are right there."
"It's probably your boyfriend anyway!" I shout but open the door anyway I see the boy I haven't seen in years. He is different like he has a lip ring, a few earrings, a nose ring, and a few tattoos that I can see. I jump at him and hug him. I blush and get off him. He chuckles I think way to play it cool Fray.
"Hey little red," he says smirking.
I say, "What are you doing here Jace? How long have you been here? Are you visiting your dad? When did you get piercings and tattoos and tall? How long are you gonna be here this time? Why aren't you answering any of my questions?"
He says, "Whoa slow down little red. I couldn't miss my little red's graduation. No I am not visiting my dad so I'm not staying here. I got them over the past few years and I had a major growth spurt the year I left. That's a surprise I'll tell you later. Because you aren't giving me a chance to talk."
I blush as Mom walks over and says, "Who's at the door Clary?" she see's Jace and I see her eyes get a dangerous look in them.
I say, "Jace is here Mom." She looks at me and must see the excitement in my eyes because her eyes lose some of the danger.
Mom says, "Graduation is tomorrow and Izzy is coming over tonight so he should be scarce by the time she gets here. I'm going over to Luke's I'll see you at you're graduation tomorrow. I love you." She then walks out.
I say, "Come in Jace I wouldn't worry about my Mom's threats if I were you." He smiles at me and walks in. I motion for him to follow and I sit on my window seat in my bedroom that happens to be where the fire escape is. I unlock my window. Me and Jace talk for a few minutes and he says, "I have to go now so."
A few minutes later Izzy comes through my window like she has since we were 13. She says, "Hey Clary…"
