Unexpected News
"Kuro-po?" Fai said as he sat down next to Kurogane, he placed his hands on his lap and stared down at them For once his face wasn't showing his custom grin. Instead he looked worried about something,
"What?" Kurogane asked putting down his sword that he had been sharpening for the last 3 hours (it had been a boring day). He was curious to know what had suddenly come over the blond mage to make him act this way.
"Ummm…well…It doesn't matter," Fai replied as he flashed a fake smile and made to stand up and leave.
Kurogane stopped him by grabbing onto his sleeve "What?" Kurogane repeated
"It's just-" Fai began "It's nothing," Fai said as he tried to pull his sleeve out of the other man's grip.
"There is something now tell me you blasted mage," Kurogane replied angrily. You could always trust the mage to make him angry. He did so every 6-14 minutes depending on his mood. "If you don't tell me I swear I'll run you through with this" Kurogane picked up his sword and waved it at Fai
Fay's eyes filled up with tears. "You can't do that" he wailed
"Then tell me what the hell is going on," Kurogane sighed with annoyance
"Fine," Fai paused melodramatically before continuing. "You now how we've been doing that sex thing?" Fai questioned with a blush that had to have been faked. Kurogane knew Fai would never blush talking about sex.
"Hnn," Kurogane said to show he was listening
"Well from where I come from-I mean to say in my world…" Fai trailed off
"Just spit it out already!" Kurogane shouted. He could feel a headache coming on
"Inmyworldmencanhavebabies" Fai spoke so fast that Kurogane couldn't make out a single word he had just said.
"What did you say?" Kurogane asked
"In my world men can have babies." Fai repeated slower this time
"And?" Kurogane had a sudden cold feeling in the pit of his stomach
"I'm going to have a baby, your baby." Fai explained quietly starring down at the floor. "And you was going to stab me with that sword! What would you have done if you had hurt the baby?"
"WHAT! You can't be." Kurogane dropped Fay's sleeve that he was still holding onto and sat down.
"I'm pregnant Kuro-pon" Kurogane's eyes widen in shock and his mouth kept opening and closing like the mouth you would find on a fish. Kurogane was speechless. Fai turned his back to Kurogane.
Suddenly there was a flash from the door and Kurogane noticed Mokona at the door with a camera. He turned to look at Fai and noticed that his shoulders were shacking.
"Fai…" Kurogane stared at the back of his lover, his voice strangely high pitched
Fai burst into laughter. He was laughing so hard he had couldn't stand up anymore. There were tears running down his face.
"Fai explain." Kurogane demanded as he glared down at the mage laughing on the floor.
Fai sat upright clutching his sides. "Sorry Kuro-chi. I'm not pregnant. It was a joke. The look on your face when I told you. I don't think I'll ever forget that and if I do I'll always have the picture Mokona took," Fai dissolved in laughter again on the floor
Kurogane felt his eye twitch. H reached for his sword and made towards Fai with it. "You bastard," he said. Fai stopped laughing realising that laughing at an angry man with a sword was never a smart thing to do. He got up of the floor and began to run as fast as he could to put some distance between him and his lover.
Mokona chuckled as he watched the pair run around the house they were currently staying at wondering how much he would get if he blackmailed Kurogane with the picture.
