Feeling Alive
Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter. I also don't own the song First Time by Lifehouse of which this song was based on.
Timeline: Anytime.
Characters: Wizard, Witch
Couples: Wizard x Witch
Word Count: 497
Beta-Read: None.
Notes: Pure fluff. As you may notice, this is under Harry x Ginny, because that was the couple I was thinking of when I wrote this. When I was rereading, I couldn't get the idea of Ron x Hermione out either. Not using names saves me from having to endure complaints about not doing a certain couple. All of them are covered here.

She smiles widely. His stomach flips over, and he nervously scratches the back of his neck. She rolls her eyes, still grinning.
They interlock their hands, he absentmindedly caressing her hand with his thumb. She bites her lip, suppressing a giggle.
"So, where to?" She asks.
He smirks. "Well, if I told, what fun would that be?" He replies jokingly.
She smacks him upside the hand with her hand, teasingly. "You're no fun."
"Of course I am. Otherwise you wouldn't be going out with me."
"Yeah, well, I'm starting to doubt if that was a good decision," she answers her voice not able to suppress her smirk. He sticks out his tongue.
"Oh, you know you can't get enough of me."
"Uh huh, don't flatter yourself."
The couple walks down the pathway, she leaning on his shoulder. His arm creeps up to her shoulder as he colors a tinge of pink.
As they walk, she studies his eyes, their color and their warmth. She looks at him, and smiles at the fire in them. He lifts an eyebrow, questioningly, and she only smiles wider. He begins to stoke her hair, and she lays her head back on his shoulder.
They sit on the bench, his arm still wrapped around her. She quietly snuggles deeper into him, his scent the only thing she can smell. She beams.
"Can I ask you something?" She asks quietly.
"Of course," replies he equally quiet.
"Where is this going?"
He lifts her chin gently, removing his arm from around her. He looks into her deep eyes, and seriously, speaks.
"I'll be completely honest. I'm totally, and utterly, scared to death. I've always kept love at a distance. For once in my life, I'm scared to death. But, it's right. It feels exhilarating. I feel alive for the time." He smiles softly. "It's all because of you."
She bites her bottom lip, diverting her eyes to the ground. "I'm—I also feel alive for the first time and all too, but it's—it's like being…" She looks up at him. "It's like being in love for the first time."
His face breaks out into a grin, and she, not being able to withstand the urge any longer, pulls him into a kiss. She breaks it apart after only moments, the taste of his lips lingering on hers.
"I love you."
"Well, I know that," he says seriously. He grins at her eyebrow lift.
He looks into her eyes, noticing the flecks of color as the sparkle so brilliantly.
"I love you too."
And with those words, she kisses his cheek. He looks at her indignant.
"Hey! That's all I get?"
She shrugs. "I guess so."
He slumps in his seat. "Well, I was going to say that I could see us together for a very long time, but—,"
He's cut off by her lips on the corner of his mouth. Gently, she mummers into his ear, "I could see us together forever."

I hope you enjoyed, and please review.
My offer for co-authoring is still out there! My only wish is that you've got one or two one-shots or a completed fic up so that I have an idea of how you write.
Keep an eye out for other stuff for this fandom from me.
