RWBY: The Four Kings
Chapter 1: Nero Rory
It had been a successful week for team RWBY. They had helped with apprehending Roman Torchwick, even if they probably could have done it more quietly. They were able to train with team JNPR for an extended period of time for the festival, and as of now they were feeling really good about future events.
At this moment however Professor Ozpin had called for them in the guise of a mission. Ozpin however was in his office with Glynda Goodwitch, "With the way things are going we're going to need some help."
"But are you sure it's wise to bring them back into the fold?" Glynda questioned, "From we know, one was sealed by the king of Vale per request, another traveling the seas, one we have no idea where, and the last we've heard of Mel was that he was taking it easy. Are you sure this is the right move," she questioned her headmaster.
"It is the best, besides this is the only chance he have to unseal him."
"You think Ruby Rose will be compatible?"
Ozpin nodded, "Very much so." There was then a knock on the door, "Come in please," and in came team RWBY, "Ah just the team I wanted to see."
Ruby Rose, the leader of team RWBY, who was 16 answered her headmaster, "We got the message that you had a mission for us."
"Yes, indeed. One of most importance at that," Ozpin got up from his seat as he addressed them, "As you all know the Vytal Festival and Tournament is in three months, and while your team and multiple others have registered and qualified for it, there is a promise that I must keep to some individuals as well as a request from every other headmaster before me that dates back all the way to the King of Vale."
The girls were surprised at this, to then they began to look at each other and nod, "What would you have us do?" Blake asked.
Ozpin pulled up a holographic map of Remnant, "First you will be going into the Forest of Forever Fall, where you will find a crimson red blade deep in the forest, I would like you to retrieve that blade first before the others," a red dot appeared on the map showing the location.
Glynda helped explain the next destination, "Next location should be near an island below Vale, there will be a small kingdom that helps run the trade between Vale, Mistral, and Menagerie. On this island should be a boy of your age with blue hair and purple eyes, you can't miss him and you'll know him when you see him," another dot appeared showing the location.
"Next near the Kingdom of Mistral at the Blackjaw Bay, there should be a small town, and in that town is a bar, there you will ask for Mel, and tell them that Ozpin has requested a meeting with him. He should come willingly," the third dot had appeared showing the location.
"The last location is in the mountains, near the Sea of Souls, there you will climb the highest mountain and recite the chant of the transference of aura and there something hidden should appear," the last dot had appeared.
"This mission, if you choose to accept, will take a month or two at max. We will be giving you transport from the Forest of Forever Fall to the island. If all goes well you should be taking a ship from the island to the next destinations."
Team RWBY looked at each other and again nodded, "We accept," Ruby spoke.
"Excellent, you have one hour to pack before your ship leaves, I wish you luck on your venture."
Ruby smiled, "You can count on us."
"Yeah, we'll have this job done in no time," Yang said.
Team RWBY had said goodbye to their friends and packed for a month long trip. Yang had her yellow duffle bag with her symbol that she had strapped across her shoulder, Blake had her black backpack with her symbol in white, Ruby also had her red backpack with her symbol in a different color of red, Weiss was going to bring her suitcase, but decided against it since she didn't know when she would be in combat, and decided to take a custom backpack from the the Schnee Dust Company with her symbol on it.
"We'll be landing right here, this is the safest place as well to stay," the driver said as he landed on a cliff with the entrance to Forever Fall right below.
Ruby nodded, "We'll be back as soon as possible, let's go guys."
They jumped down into Forever Fall while using their own landing strategies. After some walking they had multiple grim which they dealt with.
After another thirty minutes, Yang complained, "Dammit where is this stupid sword?"
"Just be patient, I'm sure we're almost there," Weiss said.
"I guess, but has anyone else wondered why Ozpin asked us to find a sword so close in Forever Fall?" Yang asked.
"The closest thing I could think of is that it pertains to the King of Vale, but we all know that the King of Vale didn't have a red sword. So how does this sword connect to the King?" Blake asked.
"Maybe, it was someone's he knew?" Ruby thought of.
"While I don't doubt that, it can't be just that. It's too simplistic. And why put the sword in the middle of the forest with grimm in it?" Weiss thought, "Not to mention that he asked this mission a week after Roman was put behind bars."
Blake nodded as she thought of the what happened last week, "There is no coincidence in this it's too closely related."
"Well, we won't know the answer till we get back so no point in dabbling into it I guess," Yang said nonchalantly.
Ruby suddenly felt a small sort of tug coming from her aura as if being drawn to something. However she dismissed it.
Somewhere unknown bright emerald green eyes opened as the flashed and sent out a pulse of red aura.
While they were walking suddenly a huge pulse of red aura stuck out throughout the whole forest kicking up the winds of the world. Team RWBY put up their arms to guard against the wind and aura, "Such potent aura! What is this?!" Weiss said having difficulty to stay grounded.
"I don't know but it's a lot of it!" Yang yelled.
"Just hold on everyone!" Ruby commanded.
After a few more seconds it all subsided, "What was that?" Blake asked.
"I don't know, but it looked like it came from straight ahead," Yang said.
"Let's go guys!" Ruby said and they all ran deeper into the forest. However unknown from the rest of the team, Ruby's aura was being tugged at and it was getting stronger the more they ran.
They then appeared at an opening with a red blade stuck into the ground.
"This must be the blade Ozpin was talking about," Weiss said.
Ruby subconsciously started walking to it, and with the first step, the weapon burst again with a wave of red aura but this time Ruby, continued onwards. "Ruby wait, stop!" Yang war
'What is this feeling,' Ruby thought, as she continued to walk towards it, 'This feeling… it's pulling me to it.'
Ruby place her hand on the handle of the sword while her team was there watching, "What is she doing?!" Weiss yelled.
Multiple grimm then came from the forest and charged at the team as if to prevent them from pulling the sword, "Uh Ruby there is a lot of grimm we need to get out of here!" Yang yelled as she looked behind her then to Ruby to find a giant Nevermore about to descend upon her, however Ruby drowned out everything and pulled the sword out.
At first nothing happened but when the feathers of the Nevermore were close to Ruby, she recited something she had no business knowing, "Once I See The Setting Sun, But Twice Is The Goal."
Then from the sword another eruption of aura appeared but this time the field slowly changed as someone recited a chant as all grimm stopped in their tracks, "Answer to me and heed my call."
The sword in Ruby's hand began to glow, "Great stage, listen to the cries of the crowd. Behold my talents and listen to the thunderous applause! Then praise me! Praise my golden theatre!"
The field then turned gold and red as they were inside a golden theatre from the days of old. Team RWBY we're in the middle of this theatre with the sword now in the ground in front of them. Then in a golden brilliant flame appeared a boy of the age of 17. He had blonde hair that looks as if it was bright golden with a blood red streak going down, and emerald green eyes. He wore a white dress shirt that split at the bottom with what looked like a royal red vest over it with a copper like buttons attached together by a string, but instead of it being on the front like a regular vest it was on the side near his ribs. Also the back of the vest extended to the calves to where it split. Lastly he had ruby red pants with red long boots and a ruby red and crimson red cloth over his shoulder to his elbow which had copper lining and red gloves.
He then picked up the sword which they all finally got a really good luck at. It was a red and black sword with three curves along the blade with four along the back. The bladed edge was blood red and curved into the guard with a blood red handle. He then raised his blade high, "Aestus Domus Aurea! Flame Theatre!" He stated as the theatre brightened.
The boy turned to team RWBY, "I'll take care of this really quickly just sit tight." Then on the floor from the boy rose petals began to cover all of the floor.
The grimm charged, however the boy was ready. "Flame Dance: Petal Rose." The roses on the floor ignited and erupted into a tornado cutting every single grimm as the rose petals themselves were as sharp as blades. And once all enemies were wiped out, the palace disappeared and the blade in the boys hand erupted into flames as it disappeared.
The boy turned and faced the group and walked to them until he were in front of Ruby, "Thank you for freeing me, it means that I am needed. Let me properly introduce myself, I am Nero Rory, Third Emperor of Vacuo."
It took them awhile before they reacted, "EMPEROR!"

Species: Human
Personality: Easy going, strong sense of what's right, will protect his friends no matter what.
Appearance: He has blonde hair that looks as if it was bright golden with a blood red streak going down, and emerald green eyes. Weapon: Original Flame (Aestus Flame)
A red and black sword with three curves along the blade with four along the back. The bladed edge was blood red and curved into the guard with a blood red handle.
Semblance: Flame Palace
The ability to warp a specific area of space to project his palace, where he gains a numerous techniques he can do. Also his sword get engulfed in flames and is able to use fire as if it were magic.
Abilities/Techniques: Chosen Privilege: With being sealed away to keep him from dying, whoever has the right spirit that is compatible pulls his sword releasing the seal. Nero is able to use a modified version of the chosen's semblance.
Once I See the Sun, But Twice is the Goal: Do to the link the chosen and him poses, with preparation when he loses his aura he can use this ability to be able to restore his aura to 100% but is only able to use it once per fight.
The Flame That Dances Once: In his palace he is able to pour all of his aura and some life force into one attack which upon completion, disintegrates his opponent.

This will be one of my new fanfics that I wanted. Also if you have read my other fanfic 'Path To The Future' then you know I said this was coming today however the next fanfic after this has changed, instead it will be another RWBY based with my personal OC(s). I hope you would like it.
