AN: I don't own Sailor Moon. Yet. But I will one day. Muahaha.

I was really bored and decided to look through some of my older stories. This one's halfway decent and deals with one of my favorite pairings, so I figured eh, what the heck.

The wind dances through her hair, making her smile as she leans into the balcony rail. She can never experience wind now without thinking of the beautiful, tall blonde with teal eyes that make her melt, give her strength she never would have had otherwise and lend clarity and meaning to life.

"I love it when you smile." Haruka's husky voice sounds in her ear as the racer's warm arms slide around her waist. Michiru presses against Haruka, feeling the strong muscles of her shoulders and stomach. "I would do anything to see it."

"Anything?" She turns her head, smiling coyly. Haruka grins—God, that grin makes her melt.

"Anyth—" Haruka is cut off as Michiru captures her lips in a deep kiss. Michiru threads in her hands into Haruka's hair, loving how soft and sleek the wind-tousled tresses are under her fingers. Haruka pulls her even closer, as if trying to keep them both rooted in this spot for all eternity.

When the need for air finally forces them apart and Michiru's head finds its customary resting spot on Haruka's chest, Haruka laughs slightly. "You know, never in all my life did I expect things to turn out this way."

"What?" Michiru frowns and pulls back. "What do you mean?"

"Well, I never thought that the most beautiful, amazing, charming, talented, mysterious, perfect woman on earth would ever fall for some scruffy mongrel like me." Haruka smiles again, amused. "And I never thought you would stay after everything I've done to you." She closes her eyes, guilt weighing down the lids. "So I suppose I'm grateful that you indulge me and the way the sky needs the sea. Because we all know the sea needs nothing." She runs her fingers through Michiru's hair.

Michiru is floored. She doesn't think…"Haruka Tenoh, you listen to me." Her voice comes sharp and cold as she grabs the racer's face in her hands, forcing their eyes to lock. "How the bloody hell could you think that I don't need you, that I don't love you more than anything this life could ever give me? You called me all those words, Haruka, when the truth is they apply to you a damn sight more than they ever could to me. My life is nothing without you, I've told you that before. And as for what you've 'done to me'…..I've let you down as well." Her hands soften, cupping Haruka's face, fingers trailing down her jawline. "We're even."

Haruka shakes her head but doesn't argue. Her eyes are gleaming rather more than normal as she bends her head down to Michiru's. "I love you."

"I love you too, you idiot. The next time you put yourself down like that, you'll sleep on the couch." But Michiru smiles as she presses her lips to Haruka's in a brief yet tender kiss.
