He shoved his hand in his pocket.
Where is everyone?
The guys said they would be here.
Ryan sighed. The headache seems to be worse than he thought.
The school seems quieter than usual.
He looked out by the window.
It's raining heavily.
"Ryan?"
Ryan turned around and saw that brown eyes.
Gabriella.
She looked awful. Her hair was disarray. Her makeup is messed up. Her brown enchanting eyes are puffy red from crying as Ryan was assumed.
"Gabriella?"He asked "What are you doing here?"
He walked nearer to her.
"Oh...nothing "as she forced a smile."Why are you here?"
"Some random guys asked me to meet them here and the doors are jammed "Ryan groaned "My last chance of getting out of here"
"I see"
"Aren't you supposed to be at home or somewhere?"
"I guess so"
"Bad day?"
"The worst"
Ryan nodded understanding at what she said.
"So, any ideas how we could get out of this school?"She wrapped her arms around her petite body "It's getting cold and raining"
"Every door I tried were locked from outside "he raised his eyebrow "Unless you wan to jump out of the window"
She laughed "Getting out of a school, I don't think it's worth it"
He grinned "Not worth it, eh?"As he sat on a bench nearby.
"I don't think so"
'At least I can wipe off that sad look at her face' Ryan smiled at his thought but change quickly as the headache came attacking his head.
"Where's the janitor?"She asked "He always around"
"Can't find him anywhere "He puts his hand on the back of his head, he groaned "I should have listen to my sister about those guys, they were just playing pranks on me"
She arched her eyebrow "Guys?"
"Jocks."Ryan sighed "I thought they are going to apologies all those stuff they do to me"
She frowned.
"Boy was I wrong "Ryan laughed bitterly as the headache came booming trough his head.
"What did do to you?"
"Pranks mostly but in some special occasion they beat me up"
Gabriella frowned "Beat you up?"
She sat down beside him.
"Yeah"He chuckled "But it decreases since Troy Became the star of Twinkle Towne"
Gabriella nodded "But, why didn't I knew this before?"She asked "Troy and I could have help you"
"Why in the world would you and your little boyfriend there care about me?!"Ryan laughed bitterly "The world isn't happy all the time, take a look around you, everything really looked nice but they aren't!"
She was surprised with Ryan sudden change of attitude.
It scares her.
She started to feel tears welling up in her eyes as she remembered what happened with Troy and her. Troy's changed. He's not that nice and charming as usual. But she loves him.
The relationship are drifting apart but it isn't her that drifting apart.
It's him.
"I'm sorry" said Ryan softly."It didn't supposed to be like this"
"Hey, everyone sometimes has a bad day once a while "said Gabriella trying to sound cheerful even though she isn't.
Silence.
Forget about him.
"Troy and I had fight earlier"
"Huh?"
"I confronted him about his cancelling our dates at inappropriate time."
Ryan was startled with this confession of hers.
"I thought he would be understanding but I was wrong "She took a deep breath "He raised his voice and said I wasn't being supportive and I'm being selfish and stupid"
Ryan frowned. Troy raising his voice at his girl. Impossible
Tears was started to roll down on her cheeks "I was trying to be honest"
"He was a jerk"
Gabriella stiffened up at Ryan's comment but agreed with him anyway."I guess so'
They stared each other for a moment. It seemed a sparks was flying between them. At that moment, the world seemed to stop moving.
Gabriella felt the urge to kiss those soft lips of his.
"He is a jerk "She whispered as their faces were inches away.
"Hell he is"
"Yeah"
Few inches more.
"Gabriella?"
