It was an October night that walked over James's body and made my way to Lily's body. Even in death, she was the most beautiful of creatures. I held her in my arms so tight, screaming her name. Hope some how or some way, she would be able to hear me. I repeatedly whispered 'I love you' in her ear.

Needles to say, I blamed myself. I was the one that joined the Death Eaters and I was the one that unknowingly stirred the dark lord into their direction. I wish many times over that I was the one that was murdered that night. Not her.

This was the ultimate punishment. I deserved this crippling pain in my chest. I just killed the only woman I loved. I truly hated myself. Her son was going to grow up with out knowing what she was really like. He was not going to know how she reacted in certain situations. He was not going to receive her motherly advice. He was not going to know how she lit up a room with just the simplest of smiles and giggle… And mostly importantly, was not going to be able to just simply be held by her when all was wrong in the world.
