Teddy sat down on the lawn chair on the beach. She had her sunglasses and sun hat and was

wearing a coverup that covered her pregnant stomach. She let out a heavy sigh happy she was alone for once. She rubbed her stomach as her daughter kicked and the waves splashed up onto the beach and then closed her and started to think. She looked up at the sky.

"I miss you Henry." She told the sky. "Your warm hugs and quick funny remarks. Everything is so complicated now. I just wish that this daughter was your's it would've been easier cause now Owen hates Tom and vice versa and... and I don't know what to do." She said starting to break down. "What do I do? Owen doesn't seem really involved until he feels threatened then he starts doing who knows what." She sat in silence before she decided to go get some food. She went to a deli and ordered a sandwich. As she was waiting for it some guy came up to her, "Oh are you alone? You poor thing let me help you." The greasy man said. Teddy stood speechless looking around.

"She's not alone she's with me." A woman said locking arms with Teddy the man sneered and walked away. Teddy breathed a sigh of relief, "Thank you."

"No problem!" The woman said. "What are you doing here by yourself? You could get hurt along with your baby."

"Oh you know just needed to be alone from all the chaos that is my life... wait do I know you?"

"I don't think so."

"Hey Addie what do we... Teddy." Amelia stopped short.

Addison looked at Amelia, "You know her?"

"Um yeah she's who I was telling you about."

"Oh... ok."

"Nothing bad I hope."

"No, none of this is your fault, it's just awkward." Amelia assured her.

Her sandwich appeared at the counter and Teddy took off her sunglasses to see her money to pay.

"Wait were you crying?" Amelia asked.

"Uh yeah it's nothing I'm fine."

"Yeah like I believe that. I've seen you what, once?" Addison commented.

"We may not be friends but what's wrong Teddy?"

"Not here."

"Ok." Amelia said. They walked out and sat back on the beach as Teddy spilled it all and Amelia and Addison listened.

"It's just not how I pictured having kids at all. Of course I love her so much but I expected to raise her with my husband and it not to be complicated and my pregnancy to be a joyful experience... this isn't joyful." Teddy put her head in her hands. Amelia rubbed her back, "What happened to your husband?"

"Owen didn't tell you?"

"He doesn't tell me much." Amelia confessed.

"Me either. My husband had a rare disease called VHL."

"Oh yeah I've heard about that." Addison cut in, "It cause tumors to grow?"

"That's the gist yeah. Anyway he died because a tumor was too close to his heart. I hadn't even known him a year."

"I know what that's like. My fiancé OD'd on drugs and died on in bed next to me. It's hard."

"Yeah so now I don't know what Owen's problem is."

"I don't either he's so frustrating sometimes!"

"Yeah. Tom didn't help though, he's too cocky and provoked Owen."

"You three should talk everything out. It sounds needed. And you have a new friend in me." Addison said.

"Yeah and Owen shouldn't keep us from being friends. We seem to have a lot in common. When we get back to Seattle we should sit him down and get it out of him on what he wants. He can't do it to both of us on the room."

"That's true. I think he's going to be ok he's just a little freaked out is all."

"Yeah. You've known him longer so you're probably right. Cause it's not like he's a bad man."

"Yeah. What are you doing here anyway?"

"Addie and I were attending a conference together, I also needed to get away."

"How do you to know each other?"

"That's too long of a story to delve into right now but if you're ever in LA, you should come visit the practice."

"What?"

"It's a health and wellness place, more natural and all."

"Oh. Ok I'll keep that in mind."

"And if you want she's a certified OB/ GYN." Amelia offered.

"With other degrees but yes I'll be happy to come to Seattle if you need me. Also it seems like you don't have anyone to talk to about all this."

"Oh I have someone she just has ALOT going on with her life so we don't talk much."

"Ok well at least you have someone, if she's busy don't hesitate to call me."

"But we're in a mess right now, what if it is about her?"

"No offense taken, I recognize this is kind of my fault."

"If it helps you can think of it as I'm your doctor, the well-being of the mother helps with the well-being of the child."

"Ok. Thank you both."

Amelia hugged her, "Of course! This should've happened sooner."

"Come to our hotel room, we'll eat and watch movies? You on?"

Amelia nodded.

"Ok I'm in."
