Angie knocked on her bathroom door. "You can come out English. They're gone."

Peggy got out of Angie's bathroom, having just applied a fresh coat of lipstick. "I'm so sorry you had to get caught up in all this."

"I'm fine. It's actually kinda exciting," said Angie. "So what do we do now?"

"I need to find a way to get out of town," said Peggy.

"I can help," said Angie. "I'll call my brother and ask him to-"

"No," said Peggy. "I'm not going to let you put yourself in anymore danger than you're already in."

"I can take care of myself and you need my help," said Angie. "How do you expect to get out of the city on your own?"

"I can manage," said Peggy. "I've got a bus ticket."

"So you think they're stupid enough not to look there?" said Angie.

"Well you haven't had to work with them," said Peggy.

"This is serious," said Angie. "Let me help you. I got those guys to leave."

"That was nothing," said Peggy. "The people I'm up against won't hesitate to kill you."

"So I'm just supposed to stay here, not knowing if you're even alive?" said Angie.

"I love you," said Peggy. "Which is why I'm doing this."

Peggy leaned in and kissed Angie. She kept up the embrace until Angie slumped forward, having succumbed to the sedative on Peggy's lips. Peggy carried Angie to her bed and laid her down. She made sure that Angie would be comfortable and covered her up with the blanket. Peggy gave Angie another kiss on her forehead. "Stay safe."
